I say let some other team overpay for Chychrun but I am a lot lower on him than other people.

He looked more like a NHL player to me in my limited viewing than Brome did, it would be nice to see them hit on one of these signings.

It is great to see the names of some guys who played hard at the prospect tournament on that list as invitees. Albert Johansson is a darkhorse to make this roster if they go with a young defender in my opinion, there's just something about him I love.

I thought Cossa looked pretty good in this last game, pretty composed. Outside of misplaying a puck behind the net I thought it was about all you could ask for.

I missed the game Saturday, have half of today's game saved to watch when Cossa comes in. I'm bored on a work call so I am going to do a prospect clip dump: People on hfboards are saying Kasper reminds them of Zetterberg with how he plays and I think that's a good comparison so far

People really like taking runs at Soderblom, going to be interesting to see how he holds up. I think he's already learning that some of his puck possession moves are not going to translate to North America.

Free agent invite Riley Piercey has a hat trick! Must be a huge thrill for him.

Thought Soderblom was going to hit his between the legs goal on the power play, exciting to see him doing it again. CBJ just look faster all around too. Cossa making some solid saves, maybe looking a little more comfortable. Edvinsson finally made a nice defensive play closing a guy off.

Can't argue with any of this. I hate how deep Cossa plays in his crease sometimes too. I feel like the Wings were not very inspiring overall in that first period, some flashes of stuff but otherwise not much going on.

Agreed I don't think Niederbach ever sees the NHL for a successful team. He was intriguing for a bit but I just don't see a NHL player. He's the anti-Kasper!

Super exciting news, ESPN/Disney made a deal with the SHL to broadcast the upcoming season!!! I'm going to watch so much Rogle.

I think the Wings' prospects first game will be tomorrow, should be streamed on youtube at 3 pm. I'm excited!

Prospect Tournament stuff started:

Wallinder ended with 3 assists and Kasper had 2 assists. Stole this from HF boards So far Kasper is incredible at suppressing shots and he has 6 points in 4 games. Tough to not be excited about this kind of play from a young center. Amadeus Lombardi apparently played as Flint's top line center in their first preseason game, he scored a goal. I'm hoping we get some game footage of this kid this season, why can't everyone play in the SHL?!

Hmmm this is odd Kasper is having such a good start to his season

Buch played in the KHL opener I think but now he's down scoring in the MHL. I read that SKA's teams are so close to each other they like to cycle their prospects through all 3 levels when they can so it'll be interesting to see what he does this season. Kasper's skating looks improved a little bit maybe? Either way he's looking good in the SHL so far this season I would say.

Apparently he's been moved up to SKA's second line which is kinda nuts!

I am interested to see how Zadina does with a new coaching staff. I could see this contract being a steal but I could also see him not living up to it just as easily.
