  1. I haven't been paying much attention but I just looked up in time to see Bert score an absolutely sweet (but kinda dumb) goal haha . Amazing.
  2. I honestly wasn't able to watch much sadly, work has been crazy today. Edvinsson had missed some games with a mystery injury so I'm glad he played today. Also can't go back and edit my post but my response on Al reads back a lot more aggressive than I intended originally. Think I was mixing my work frustrations with surprise about Al.
  3. They finally figured it out the stream is smooth at least for now.
  4. In searching Twitter it sounds like this is the norm for ESPN+'s SHL broadcasts though they figure it out sometimes part way through the game. Sad that they can't figure it out...
  5. Welp the Frolunda stream is pretty unwatchable so far, it is stuttering so much it is making me feel sea sick or something
  6. 1. I doubt that this is the first time he's been caught doing it and I'll just leave it at that with all the rumors flying around 2. You can't just whip your junk out and pee wherever you want in a place of business where other people are. Especially a high profile business. There was a bathroom nearby, he can use it like an adult in my opinion. If he can't walk 60 feet to the bathroom how can he do his job? What if this uncontrollable urge strikes him when he's driving the zamboni during an intermission? Does he just get to pee on the ice? If it is so bad he shouldn't be working anyways. I'm shocked people are giving him a pass on this. Frolunda (Edvinsson and Soderblom) will be live on ESPN+ in about half an hour for anyone who has it
  7. He assisted on their GWG last night so hopefully this isn't a mirage! Slick little play to skate to the middle and pass it back:
  8. A bit surprised Berggren is being written off after his strong first season in AHL so far, it isn't easy to go to a new country and a new ice size. Most points on the team (third in points per game it looks like but a "soft"/smaller winger playing more games is a good thing to me), second most goals with 19. When the Griffins really needed wins recently he stepped up (9 pts in 5 games last week). Had a decent release on a goal last night: Sure a ton of guys top out at solid AHLers but I think we'll learn a lot this next training camp. Hopefully he has a huge offseason training.
  9. The Wings actually responded to a goal... and then took the lead?!
  10. And that was with a semi-capable first line center playing all situations (I say semi-capable because the injury was sapping his play). Truly impressive how much of a downgrade this is on an already putrid team. First line center Pius Suter is something I'll tell my grandkids about.
  11. Myself, I'm not worried about Cossa (nor do I feel particularly sure about him) at this age. Plus juniors is such a different beast defensively / offensivley compared to even the AHL let alone the NHL. He still ended up with fairly solid numbers even with being so up and down. It'll be interesting to see where he goes from here. Wallstadt is backing up in the SHL playoffs and Askarov got demoted to the VHL, young goalies are voodoo more than linear development.
  12. Ya he's looked off/bad lately, not shocking. Odd Blashill still had him killing penalties...
  13. Second period is another story, all Panthers and it is 2-0. I hope my wife wakes up soon.
  14. Riley Barber on the first power play unit is certainly a choice
  15. Ended up being the gwg
  16. Quite the shutout for Ned
  17. 43 saves and counting sheesh
  18. Erne made it 2-0 and now elite sniper Filip Zadina just scored from the top of the circle to make it 3-0
  19. Not another Nabokov situation I guess
  20. Forget Cossa!!! https://www.nhl.com/redwings/news/goalie-magnus-hellberg-signed-to-one-year-deal/c-332960696
  21. I took away that the Sens have the better "core" right now since the Wings' guys (Larking - Bert - Vrana) are older than the Sens' generally and may not be at their peak when the Detroit prospects are ready. Larkin is probably the best overall player from both teams but the age part hurts him. The Wings have a better prospect pool when you take out Edvinsson and Sanderson for their evaluations though it doesn't seem like they're wowed by Detroit's top level talent. So it is a toss up of who has the "edge" you could say from my perspective. It seems like most of them would take Seider as a building block so that's pretty sweet. I am shocked everyone is rating Sanderson so high right now but he's been pretty good I guess. I am also shocked that at least one of these guys didn't panic on Cossa a bit with how up and down he's been.
  22. I've honestly been putting off reading that piece because I was afraid what it was going to say about the state of the Wings' rebuild but I guess I'll be checking it out!
