  1. Yeah and Metcalf is out, so they can switch Okudah onto Lockett and some other dude can repeatedly burn 24 on evey play.
  2. FUCKING A WHAT THE HELL IS 24 STILL DOING OUT THERE?????
  3. Second year of this era and they cannot stop anybody ever.
  4. I was literally about to type that it felt like after all of the injuries, the extra play, the ole TD, and the Holding Call, that the Dan Campbell era was looking just like the SOL. Then Hock and the TD and maybe we arent dead after all?
  5. 24 is the worst player in football?
  6. What the HELL..this kind of stuff ONLY happens to us.
  7. Right call...FINALLY some coverage and pressure.
  8. Completely nonexistent defense. Zero pressure, huge holes in coverage.
  9. I dont disagree with this at all. I am more optimistic about Tork and Carpenter but if Harris can get better players I am all for it.
  10. Yes, and time will tell whether Baddoo has the requisite skills to survive and thrive or not. That can be said about all of our players at this point, nobody is a sure bet or even a very good bet to have a good year next year or any year after that. I like the chances for Greene, Carpenter, Baez, Tork, and Haase to be useful as regulars (or in Haases case as a semi regular), or good, or maybe even very good in the case of Greene and Tork, but beyond that our position players are not **likely** to do well. That doesnt mean that we just get rid of everybody else, but I'm certainly wanting improvement and sooner rather than later.
  11. Last week felt like opportunity. This week feels like a must win.
  12. The reasons for keeping him, in this current context, somewhat outweigh the reasons for cutting him, at this time. That is all anyone is saying, your dislike for him notwithstanding, and your attempt to turn me into a Baddoo slappy for observing his recent and overall decent hitting over his time with the Tigers at a young age nothwithstanding. If he makes it, great, if he fails, move on. But he hasnt failed overall as a MLB player just yet, thats all I or anyone is saying. And if he does fail in the future and you try to paint me or anyone as having been some kind of fan of his, I will call BS on your part.
  13. He's performed as well or better at the plate so far as any young player on the roster. That doesn't make him a good hitter at this point, but if every 23 year old was shown the door after one bad year there wouldn't be anyone left in baseball. He's demonstrated himself to be perfectly capable of being a useful player. He had a 112 Ops plus and a 2.1 war last year in a near full time role. That's an average player at age 22, that's a pretty good season at that age. Regardless of your dislike for him, the above warrants a second look, even after a tough season, especially for an org like this that has very little comparable talent.
  14. I'm not saying hes irreplaceable but there's no point in getting rid of him, Given that he appears to be figuring things out at this moment.
  15. Given how bare the cupboard is, dumping Baddoo would be silly.
  16. Harris drinks Miggy under the table. What a moron.
  17. I love the Tigers more than other teams but I have been carving out the time to watch the Lions this year, the first time I have done that since the Barry years. I still havent gone to Ford Field yet, but if the Holmes/Campbell era goes in the right direction, I probably will, maybe this year.
  18. I imagine so....they have been playing really good baseball lately.
  19. Yes, it seems that his K and BB rates stay fairly consistent whether he's streaking or slumping -- it's not the contact v swing/misses, it's about the quality of the swings and contact. When he's slumping he seems tentative....or maybe overcoached. I would really like to see him just grip it and rip it little league style for the last week here and see how that goes for him.
