  1. One can always dream 😉
  2. As a moderator of this forum, this is unnecessary. Were the roles reversed here, I’m confident this would be considered a personal attack.
  3. They haven’t even accounted for all the bodies yet. Give it a rest.
  4. You need not go any further than this thread to see how political it is. It never takes a day off.
  5. This signing made me do some thinking. Provided Kim heals up, they’re projecting a possible return to the field for him in May. That would work fine in the Rays case as Taylor Walls, the current shortstop, just settled pre-arb. Kim would move to SS when he’s healthy. Walls has been one of the fill-ins since Franco exited the stage. The story that raises questions for me in this signing is that the top rated prospect at shortstop across the major leagues, Carson Williams, will begin his season in AAA Durham. Even if he stays in Durham all season, he’s the shortstop in Tampa Bay to begin next season. This, barring some unforeseen circumstance. As I recall, the Rays starting 2nd baseman, Brandon Lowe, will be a UFA at the end of this season. I’m guessing if Kim does not opt out, he moves to second base next year, which probably isn’t a bad deal for anybody. I know the Giants were very interested in Kim and they intended to play 2nd base full time had they gotten him.
  6. I imagine you’re joking. St. Petersburg is responsible for repairing the roof.
  7. If this team doesn’t improve before opening day I don’t see them making the playoffs. If there is a plan I’d like to get a copy.
  8. The Rays and infielder Ha-Seong Kim have agreed to a two-year, $29MM contract, reports Jeff Passan of ESPN. The deal includes an opt-out after the first season for the Boras Corporation client.
  9. Are you responding to a report or something? I saw something the other day that the Tigers asking price, for any team interested, will be two top 15 prospects. I thought it was so ridiculous I didn’t give it anymore thought.
  10. The earlier signings were deferred.
  11. Can you believe this native of Detroit is 80 years old today!?! Seems as though it was only yesterday that he, T.C. and Rick were making life miserable for Jonathan Higgins.
  12. Broken record here: Don’t want Bregman wearing the Old English D. A platoon will work for me.
  13. An apolitical wow!
  14. January 27, 1756 Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was born in Salzburg, Austria. His music will exceed time itself.
  15. …and take it from me, coffee is definitely a part of my national security.
  16. Well, it’s good to see Skubs got it all figured out. Wonder when he’s going to run that by Harris.
  17. This week may be the beginning of the Trump/Powell stare down over the future of interest rates. Should provide some entertainment to close out January.
  18. Wouldn’t surprise me but I’d prefer he go elsewhere.
  19. They’re currently on layaway.
  20. No doubt. So when Harris says a particular player fits their profile, I’m thinking that includes a salary window as well as their other criteria.
  21. That you survived a roll over on that car is beyond words good. I don’t think safety was Ford’s priority when they were marketing the Fiesta.
  22. Awesome! Before I bought the Festiva I had previously owned a second hand 1972 Vega GT hatchback. It was orange with the black racing stripe down the center. Every single word of your description of your Vega, I experienced as well. Fun to drive but not built to last. As I recall, certain parts of the engine were built with aluminum. Genius.
  23. Thank you for this information. I’d noticed the name changes on the signs on our trips to Richmond but didn’t recognize the names.
  24. I purchased my first new car in 1980. It was a Ford Fiesta. Similar look to the VW Rabbit. Stick shift and sunroof. Living large back then.
