So, apparently Trump has officially announced that he is going to eliminate the Department of Education. It's not surprising that a President who can't read or speak beyond a third grade level would want to eliminate a department with the word "education" in it.

That is my best case scenario given the circumstances. I also think it's the most likely outcome, but there are still some much worse outcomes that have too high of a probabiliy of happening for me to be comfortable.

Since I love my country, I don't move on from coup attempts.

Not only that, but 43% of the conutry dislikes both parties so much that they don't identify with either one.

They needed to spend on Covid, but they didn't do a good job of it. There was no need to give hundreds of billions of dollars to people who didn't lose their jobs or otherwise didn't need the stimulus. That surely contributed to the inflation which came later.

Yes, people will start hating Trump again for various reasons, but fewer and fewer people will believe or care that he is a lawless person who attemped a coup and admires dictators. Eventually, people who think those things will be considered leftist freaks who just can't let go.

I appreciate your opimism, but Trump attempted a coup against the United States of America and the majority of the country is fine with that. It's not going to be easy to get back to any kind of normalcy and I don't think the country cares.

MAGA owns the county now and there is no turning back. Trump will die or become incapicitated during his presidency and Vance will take over and will be viewed favorably. if the economy does not tank over the next four years, Vance will get eleced in 2028.

The percentage of hateful racist people on the right might get exaggerated here, but there is no question that Trump has been campaigning on racism for 9 years.

And he reportedly rejected a 15-year contract from the Yankees. Odds are we wouldn't like the last 7 or so years of whatever contract he gets.
