  1. I like 68 and 84 nostalgia. Old guys that are still playing is not nostalgia yet.
  2. I just looked it up. He has Addison's Disease. Interestingly, JFK had it too, although it may not have progressed so much before his life ended.
  3. I saw Kennedy Jr speak for the first time yesterday (interview on CNN) and I was surprised to learn that he's a terrible speaker. He has a bad voice and isn't very glib. That won't help him.
  4. I guess if a tourist came to NH to visit ski areas, they might think it's expensive. The cost of living in NH is not high though.
  5. What happened to Johnny Barbato? Or are we not supposed to know?
  6. I have never heard of New Hampshire being expensive. Just the opposite from my perspective living in Massachusetts.
  7. My father is still hanging in there. He was a front lines solder in WWII - Rapido River, Monte Cassino, etc. he turns 99 this month.
  8. The Jim Campbell draft results were exciting. Not so much since then.
  9. Alliteration is the word of the day for Scott Harris.
  10. Dude's got a 0.33 WHIP and 12 K/9 for Tampa Bay this year!
  11. It's a small sample for defensive numbers, but it's still good to see. My nitpick here is that McCosky should leave out the dash between "plus" and the number, because it makes it look like a negative number, which of course would indicate bad fielding.
  12. I had kind of forgotten about him. Good to see him get back on the radar.
  13. Speaking of attendance, i just saw that the Tigers have a higher average home attendance this year than the Tampa Rays. What a failed franchise they are - off to one of the best starts in MLB history and nobody cares.
  14. So, when I am told that Cabrera has to play because fans want to see him, it's just BS?
  15. Trump has been treated way too well especially by the media.
  16. If Cabrera is playing for marketing reasons, then I would imagine fans are also excited about seeing Verlander and Scherzer. Most fans are a lot different from people here. Personally, I still like seeing Verlander and Scherzer, but wouldn't enjoy seeing them beat the Tigers.
  17. It seems that most people wanted a balanced schedule because they got sick of seeing the same teams all the time. Be careful what you wish for!
  18. That's what they woud tell you for sure. Some of them might not believe it, but I think most of them do. You always hear players talking about how they pick the brains of star players to learn about the game.
  19. Sununu has been very critical of Trump on many occasions including calling him "****ing crazy". If the interview went down as you said, it sounds like a political was of saying he doesn't want Trump to be president.
  20. yes, I have thought about this a lot. He has gone from being someone on a Hank Aaron/Frank Robinson career path to being Jim Thome/Reggie Jackson. It's still great company and a great career, but not quite the same. It's probably not a big deal to most fans, but for someone who loves the history of the game and likes to compare the greats from different eras, it's somewhat disappointing.
