I can't read this one, but I read the homeless story elsewhere and it didn't seem like he was really homeless. I got the impression that his family was poor, but he had a home with his mother if he wanted. He chose to live in his car for whatever reason. This might sound cold and I could easily be wrong, but it didn't seem like he was thrown out in the streets.

Yeah, those were the worst. They were so ugly that I figured there must be utility to them but all I could imagine was them tripping on their pants.

It seems to be trending in that direction. I wonder how far they go with it until there aren't enough major league pitchers tp go around. I have heard people say that the ideal situation would be to have 9 pitchers pitching one inning each and going all out for that inning, but I don't think there would be enough quality pitchers to do that.

My mother, who didn't even like baseball much, liked McCarver. My father was less impressed and would tease her whenever he made an out.

I don't care so much how long games last, but I do like a fast PACE. So, I am happy to see the pitch clock. I am also interested to see whether a faster pace between pitches affect pitcher stamina and ability to throw their hardest on every pitch.

I never paid attention to Musk until he took over Twitter. Just based on what I have seen there, he sounds like a fraud of Trumpian proportions. I don't really care though. I muted him a while ago.

We will see if it actually does prevent injuries. Just based on observation, it doesn't seem like anything they have done over the years to give a break to pitching staffs seems to have reduced injuries. I still think most of what ails the game today revolves around the obsession with home runs. Deaden the ball and I think a lot of problems would be fixed. They won't do that though because chicks dig the long ball $$$$.

Given all the injuries to pitching staffs still happening, I am not sure it's working, but you are right that this is the reason they are doing it. It has nothing to do with adding strategy or shortening games. It's not real baseball though. If they can't get a winner by the 11th inning, just call it a tie.

League average is a potential all-star representative for the Tigers.

I haven't really collected cards since I was a kid, but that is a pretty good design. I like to buy a pack every year or two just for old times sake and most of the recent designs have been awful.

NRA money is a big part of it, but the fact of the matter is there is a huge percentage of Americans who think that their guns protect them from fascism/left wing tyranny/communism and they are terrified of any type of gun control whatsoever. I think the country has made a big mistake creating the type of gun culture we have but, but I feel there isn't much we can do about it at this point.

The Tigers signed Jace Fry to a minor league contract. They now have two Jaces in the organization.

I didn't laugh either because I knew they were lucky in 2021. I expect them to better than 63 wins this year and better than 66 wins too just with better health. They've got a bad roster though, so I'm a expecting another bad year at the MLB level. It will be another year of hoping that prospects make progress.
