If days of rest were not an issue, I would have pitched Skubal in game 1. The sooner they win this series, the more days rest he gets before his first start in the third round of the playoffs. Keep pitching him as early as possible in each series and you might end up with an extra start out of him by the end of the World Series.

Young players without a long track record are just as likely or more likely to fail as 30 year old free agents. The difference of course is the team doesn't get stuck with long contracts. It is really difficult to have long term success without eventually spending some money though. The key is to identify which players are likely to age well. I would think if you trust Harris & Co to know which young players will be successful, then you would trust them to know which players would age well. Maybe none of those guys are available now. I don't know.

He can still pitch twice if the series goes five games. The question is do they have him pitch on short rest in game 1 or game 5? By having in pitch in game 2 on normal rest, they get the best version of Skubal in that game. Then if they win the series in 4 games, they don't need to use him on short rest. If it goes five, he'll still be available though.

They could very well feel that way. There are many people that are just as scared of the left as you are of the right. And there are people who are scared of both sides For example, there a whole generation of youth who are terrified of climate change and they don't think either side is addressing it in a meaningful way.

As a white middle class guy, I will most likely will be fine if he is President again. Other people won't be. I don't think it's the end of Democracy if wins, but the fact that he'd like it to be is one of many reasons why I could never support him in any way.

A Democrat or Independent staying home is bad, but it's still not a vote for Trump. Anyway, I don't the get the feeling that 1776 is a Democrat. He sounds more like an old school Republican who dislikes Trump. Expecting old school Republicans to win the election for Harris is unrealistic. We need to get the lazy/disinterested liberal youth to vote.

A write-in vote or a Republican staying home is objectively better than a vote for Trump.

I want them to win of course, but I am happy to finally see them on the post-season stage. They have already accomplished more than I expected this year and there should be many good years to come. I couldn't fully engage in the Houston games due to work, so I'm staying with this one.
