Vierling does not appear to be a srarting outfielder unless he learns to hit, but there are two things that make him intriguing as a role player:
(1) He has elite speed.
(2) He has hit left handers quite well in a small sample size.
I truly do not get the continued angst over Victor Reyes. He had plenty of opportunities to show what he can do. He's a backup outfielder with a .294 OBP and no plus skills. Vierling might not end up being better, but his floor seems to be Reyes. Let's see if he can do better.
Given the current status and direction of the Tigers, I think there is no player on the 40-man roster I care less about than Jose Cisnero. Maybe Zach Short. I'd be happy if people stopped calling him Cisneros. Why do they do that?
I don't really care whether he's on the roster or not or how much they pay him, but given all the turnover and commitment to youth, it's a little surprising that they are going out of their way to keep him.
I've got some of those. The only problem (and it may not be a problem for everyone) is I have to pay a commission if I want to do it in my IRA. So, I have to make sure I am really getting more than I would with the CDs.
That has always been a peeve of mine too. Both numbers are important. It's important to know that inflation is up let's say 7% in the past year (because we know we are not going back to the same prices again). It's also important to know that inflation stayed the same month to month. It's two different stories. Each one matters.
I was just questioning whether what you heard actually happened because there is a lot of BS out there (as you know) and there are multiple people telling the same cat box story and it seems far fetched to me that this would be happening all over the place. I don't doubt that some confused kids identify as animals, but I don't believe this behavior is being normalized by school administrations.
Did the school put it there or did some kid put it there as a joke? I have met people who were non-binary and transgender and all those different types of identities. I work in a very liberal environment where we are encouraged to be sensitive to all these different identies. Half of my colleagues use pronouns (I don't because I think everyone can figure out that I'm a he). I have never met anyone who identified as a cat nor been told to be inclusive of cat identifiers. Maybe somewhere there is someone who thinks they are a cat, but I don't believe that it's a common thing we are supposed to embrace. It sounds like urban legend to me.
Yeah, the top part was supposed to be the beginning of another post, but I scrapped it when I couldn't get the link to show up. So, now it shows up whenever I start a new post. I hate when that happens.
What people forget when Comerica takes a home run away from their favorite hitter:
Next question: How many of those players are still in professional ball in 2029?
I would have just kept the Comerica dimensions the same. A smart GM can use somewhat unusual dimensions to his advantage in building a team and Harris has said something to that effect. The changes don't seem big enough to dramatically change results though, so it's probably not a big deal.
