  1. Remember when Trump wrote a book?
  2. I never understood why Pat Underwood started game 2. Was there a good reason for that or was it just Anderson trying to the smartest guy in the room?
  3. There is no rule against your daughters (who also have zero home runs) playing in the majors
  4. It's going to be 8 four team divisions and there will be 8 wild cards. Always remember that "Americans love brackets"
  5. I liked him because I didn't notice him too much. He just blended in naturally. Dickerson doesn't need a lot of analysis in the background.
  6. Adduci didn't like that either.
  7. I remember at the end, he was being really critical of the organization. I was not sure whether he did that in response to the Verlander incident knowing that he was gone anyway or whether they dumped him for being critcial and used the Verlander incident as an excuse.
  8. I think he was blackballed because he was critical of the Tigers organization. On another note...On two occasions, Fenech took my blog post and used it as his entire Free Press article. He gave me full credit, so I loved it but it was strange that he did that.
  9. I haven't subscribed for a really long time. I thought Caputo was doing it for a while. Morosi was one of the Tigers best beat writers ever.
  10. Who was the previous one? Caputo?
  11. At least Trumpers can no longer say that the motown mods never delete the libs.
  12. I think a lot of people cheat. B-Ref reported a big surge in their same team tool since the grid started. I cheat too sometimes, but I don't post my cheated results anywhere. I get as many answers as I can without cheating. Then I give myself hints after I give up on the remaining squares.
  13. He couldn't even throw one for a strike early in his career. He was a better pitcher after 30 than before 30.
  14. I think they helped him by extending his prime. I bet Cabrera would have had a longer prime if he played in that era.
  15. Rapid expansion is not talked about enough. Anyway, I believe Bonds' numbers were boosted by PEDs (along with hundreds of other players) but he was already one of the all-time greats before anyone even started talking about steroids.
  16. You can't just throw out stats. Stats are not a reward for good morals and ethics, They are a record of the game's history. Hundreds of hitters and pitchers used PEDs. It's not even practical to try to re-adjust all the stats to penalize the hundreds of hitters and pitchers who used steroids, amphetamines, etc. You can say that you think Aaron was a better home run hitter, but Bonds is the all-time home run leader. If I was going to select the best home run hitter, it wouldn't be either of them. I still think that's Ruth.
  17. I have not read any of pig snuggler's posts in a long time. Has he developed any original ideas or engaged in a conversation with anyone yet? If not, why even respond
  18. Catchers are undrerepresented in the Hall of Fame in part because they don't have as many plate appearances as players at other positions.
  19. That is possible. I think something similar might have happened to Whitaker and Trammell (initially).
  20. MLB.com says that Barry Bonds is the leader. Some say it is Josh Gibson.
  21. It seems like if there is any question about whether a prospect can stay at a position, they usually wind up moving down the spectrum more often than not. However, you are right that Greene is an example of someone who did not.
  22. The draft is always BPA regardless of your organization's current players. Also, my impression of Meadows is that he is the type of prospect you want to watch, but not one you pencil into the future starting lineup.
  23. Even more so if you live in Massachusetts.
  24. Wowza. What would that be age adjusted?
