I think my response is fine. Not everybody has to be an alarmist. Why do you always tell me to leave it there or we'll have to agree to disagree? It's a message board. If one of us gets tired of the discussion, we can just go to a different thread or just leave and do something else. Personally, I don't think Trump has changed for 40 years. His vermin comment dosn't change anything. He has always been trash. I am probably more annoyed that people haven't figured that out than anything else.

It is still strong among MAGAs. I don't think they view him any different than they did 8 years ago which is why his approval rating (as low as it may be) has stayed consistent.

I agree! Because it won't have any effect on the election one way or the other. People will just view it as Trump being Trump and move onto to the next outrage later this week.

I think he used the word "vermin", not to dehumanize, but because someone like Stephen Miller told him it was a good word to use to get people worked up. Miller knows that intellectual lefties will understand the history behind the word and MAGAs love it when intellectual lefties get worked up. Trump loves it too.

I think he has a point. Trump used Trump language and Clinton used Clinton language. Of course, vermin is worse than deplorable, but Clinton should be smart enough to know better. Just a really dumb and arrogant statement on her part. The Republicans used it to their advantage. Let's see if the Democrats can do the same. Probably not because Trump will say something worse this week.

It just seems that our country keeps getting more and more owned by the oligarchs. A bunch of them could get together and buy the country if they wanted . I mean they already have kind of done that, but this would be for real. I can't imagine Trump turning down an offer like that

I remember when they used to have a separate January draft. That was back when most people didn't care about the draft, but it was kind of a big deal when the Tigers got Kemp. I also remember the free agent draft where teams had to draft free agents with whom they wanted to negotiate. That one used to suck because we'd find out that the Tigers selected a bunch of crappy middle relievers and utility players, while all the good teams drafted Rollie Fingers and Reggie Jackson. At least they were honest!

Trump is the most ****ed up public figure in United States history, a complete psychopath. Another term of his mental illness dominating the nation's psyche would be very bad for the country. I am questioning his ability and even his motivation to destroy America. The only thing I am sure about is that everything he does will be for the benefit of one person.

I was thinking the same thing. I think he'll be great as long as he is in Detroit, but I like broadcasters to be around for the long haul and to become part of the team's identity. I will enjoy him while he's here.

I understand that he has extreme mental health problems, but he talked that way before and during his first presidency and not much happened. Everybody freaked out the abortion ruling by the Supreme Court, yet abortions increased in most states this year. Things don't happen that fast.
