  1. Anybody still wanna DFA Baddoo? 😁
  2. That will always be funny. It even beats the Delmon Young videos.
  3. I believe he will too. He needs to do so if he is going to have a career as a regular first baseman.
  4. If they made the picks now, I think they'd have to go with McKinstry and Rodriguez. You can make a case for Greene, but I think they wouldn't take him due to lack of power.
  5. Ceiling usually means what someone is potentially capable of doing rather than what they actually do. By most accounts, Torkelson's cein\ling is higher than .240/20/75. Whether he actually reaches his ceiling, of course, remains to be seen.
  6. He has gone through some periods of a few weeks at a time when he has been decent, certainly better than what Wentz is doing now.
  7. I am thinking he could be one of these late bloomers that is effective a couple of years and then fades away. That is probably his best case scenario. He's 28, so he is probably already past his peak defensively. His history is that he was good at drawing walks and getting on base in the minors. He couldn't do that initially in the majors. He's doing it this year. Walk rates usually normalize quickly, so I am hopeful this is not a one-month blip.
  8. I am a Liberal, but If Trump ran as a Democrat, I would vote Republican. Before you say that is a ridiculous scenario, consider that he used to be a Democrat. He'd be a Democrat again if he thought he could win as a Democrat. Also, it's really stupid to say that every Democrat is a POS. I don't think every Republican is a POS.
  9. No, he won't hit for a .388 OBP forever. A second baseman with a .340 OBP with average fielding can be a regular. I am not assuming he will do that, but his walk rates in the minors and this year suggests he has the potential to do it.
  10. This year, so far, he is looking like somebody that could be a regular starter. Kelly never did.
  11. They could also be doing that now! He has been walking consistently though which was my concern in his previous MLB trials.
  12. I don't really think of facebook as a news aggrgetor, but that's probably because I blocked all their "news" a long time ago. It's harder to do that on twitter. I mean you can avoid it but not without some continuous effort.
  13. With the Tigers closing in on first place, I don't think Harris is going to allow the weak spots to just keep playing. I can see him making a minor trade for a Kerry Carpenter type (preferably right-handed) who isn't going to be a long-term regular, but can play a role. Or maybe there is another McKinstry out there
  14. The biggest network in the country (Fox) is far right wing. The biggest social news network (Twitter) is now right wing. The second biggest network (CNN) is now owned by a right winger and recently aired a complete Trump rally which last more than an hour.
  15. Hawk was a ridiculous homer, but he was actually a pretty smart baseball man. I actually found him humorous after a while and he wasn't that bad compared a lot other broadcasters (like ones we've seen with the Tigers over the years).
  16. He was destined to pitch for the White Sox
  17. Even pitchers weren't that bad.
  18. I believe so, but he got hurt.
  19. I met his son wheat thrower (a play on his nickname here) at Fenway. I have not met Sportz.
  20. because he's a patriot and a Christian and he works hard for all Americans.
  21. At least the fans got to see him.
  22. Yes, that is excellent. Not what I was expecting.
  23. The amazing thing is they have a lot of LOB while getting on base less than almost every team.
  24. Do those people know or care that Cabrera is still on the team? I think they just go there to be at a cool place and to drink beer
