I agree. the Democrats aren't as bad as the MAGAs, but I wouldn't say they have honor. They are just appealing to their voters. They are tougher on things like infidelity and harrassment because they want the woman's vote whereas many Republican voters think it's OK for men to be men.

Just because it may have been a bad move doesn't mean it was a dick move. The manager's job is to help his team win games, not worry about an opponent's milestone. Besides, It's not like it's the last game of the year at the end of his contract. He's got two years to reach 3,000 hits! Tigers fans get to watch another fun game tomorrow. As Sportsfreak mentioned earlier, I bet Ilitch is thrilled that the he didn't reach 3,000 today.

Sometimes relievers can be good for a whole year without actually being good pitchers. You can't predict bullpens!

No doubt I'd rather see someone on the top of the list than not on the list. I am not knocking your effort. It am just skeptical that it means a lot yet.

I suppose that is good news, but it's hard to get excited about that list of 20 names. It looks like a lot of small sample randomness.

I don't know if I want Alex Jones to flip. It depends on who he flips on. I don't want him getting immunity unless he flips on someone worse than him and there aren't a lot of choices there.

yeah, They are better at fixing injuries now but it's not clear to me how much they have learned about preventing them.

It's not about being "soft". When Morris was pitching, every batter wasn't a home run threat. Pitchers could pace themselves and were able to throw more pitches. Today, pitchers have to bear down on every batter. They also didn't know much about pitching injuries back then. They now try to manager pitching staffs in order to minimize injuries. I am not sure how well it works, but it's not done because pitchers are "soft". Morris should make an attempt to keep up with the modern game. It would make him a better broadcaster.

I can see myself getting tired of Monroe, but so far he doesn't bother me. Dickerson is great at working with an analyst. We will see if he helps Monroe improve. Also, Monroe has worked on TV where it seems they are expected to be cheerleaders. He might change if he is on radio permanently.

Price is honest when he does analysis, but he is increasingly relying on his cute phrases to get himself through broadcasts.

I don't think Price really offers much anymore other than being folksy. Monroe is not great either, but I don't think he takes anything away from the broadcast, at least not yet.

That is a good point. Still, 80 wrc+ is not a black hole for a catcher. I think you'd see a black hole if Garneau became the starting catcher for a full season. Given Barnhart's 80 wrc+, his platoonability, his good defensive repuation and the fact that they didn't give up anything of value, I'd say it looked like a pretty good move. Of course, if his defensive reputation is not real or his offense falls off the cliff, he won't help them.
