They were easy to like when they were playing well, but I was liking the way they were playing more than I liked the players. I mean I don't dislike them, but they they are not interesting personalities.

I joked about that early in the season. The team has no personality. The look like a white suburban middle class travel team. I don't think that is why they are losing, but it makes for less entertainment.

It's hard to care right now, but Oakland is up 2-0 vs. Houston in the 5th.

I doubt anybody remembers or cares what you said in spring training, but it It seems you were wrong when you said: "I said going into spring training that they would suck this year and last year was a mirage" You were wrong because they didn't suck until the end of the year. They were good most of the year. Their overall record is about the same as last year. Just very different sequencing. The collapse at the end has been embarrassing and depressing, but I don't think their overall record is much different than most people predicted.

OK, now I remember. I was so happy they made the playoffs that I wasn't really upset about them losing the division title. Yeah, that's a different situation from this year.

What did they do when they lost the division, but made the playoffs in 2006? I know they had a big celebration after the first round win and brought it straight to the fans. I don't remember what they did after clinching a playoff spot.

Momentum does not last forever. It can start or end at any time.

Up until the last month or so, I think the Tigers have performed above their talent level during Hinch's tenure. It's been an awful stretch, but I think firing him would be a knee jerk reaction and a mistake.

I don't know exactly how it should be done, but I agree the challenges are dumb. If terrible calls are made, then just fix it. No need to add some faux strategic challenge.

I think that better change soon or they are going to feel it in ticket sales. This season could lose them a bunch of casual fans.

I don't get nearly as emotional about games as I did even a few years ago, but tonight's game has been demoralizing.

They are tied for first place over 157 games. They should certainly contend next year. They should be adding major league talent, not subtracting their best player.

It's been both.
