I agree. He is still just 24, so he should have plenty of time left. but he's probably not a good candidate for one of those 10-year deals as a free agent.

Yup, late data is generally the reason for revision of numbers in any agency. It can't be avoided. I suppose it could be avoided by ignoring the late surveys and never doing revisions, but would only be done if you are not interested in accuracy.

I can believe that there are antiquated systems in place at BLS. However, that's not the stated reason why she was fired. If the system does need to be modernized, I have have no faith that the current administration will address the situation in a thoughful and honest way. The system will be changed with the only goal bing to produce numbers that make Trump look good.

I actually don't recall him saying that, but it sounds like something he would say. The funny thing is he is known for certain expressions, but he really didn't use them that often. He kept repeating them at the end because new fans wanted to hear them, but in his prime, he picked his spots.

I think the only way you can somewhat "build for the playoffs" is to have a couple of aces. A top heavy staff has an advantage in the playoffs with all the off days. However, as we saw with Verlander and Scherzer, even that doesn't necessarily work.

I remember that well. I'd check my Sporting News each week and see him flirting with a .400 BA. He ended up batting .396. I thought he was going to be a stud.

How do we do that? They really aren't that expensive, but I don't like paying MLB and then getting endless promotion and encouragement of gambling in exchange.

The other dowside is when they switch to a network of which I do not have access. On the upside, I did have access to last night's game and it was great not be being being bombarded with gambling promotions all night.
