  1. Definitely, otherwise he could have just called the Deuce and he would have taken care of the situation professionally.
  2. What a depressing poll. Not surprising though. Most of my Republican friends (even those that dislike Trump) don't think he did anything terribly wrong. They only thing that really concerns them is what he did to Pence.
  3. I swear. They are worse than sabers!
  4. Right, AL superiority doesn't apply anymore. They have been pretty much even the last two years.
  5. The Tigers would have had it Made.
  6. Spoiler: They are going to get a bunch of guys most of us have never heard of before. We'll look up their stats and ranks and not be impressed. The prospect hounds will pump up one of the players and we'll feel better. That guy will not develop into anything, but one of the others will turn out to be pretty good.
  7. There was also the time he got drunk and threatened to blow up a bar.
  8. So, Vierling is a mass murderer?
  9. Brooks Robinson would solve their third base problem.
  10. I see a lot of tweeters talking about the Tigers trying to get Alek Thomas. It originated from a sports radio host in AZ with a lot of followers. It doesn't seem likely though.
  11. Right, it's too obvious.
  12. That's OK. He doesn't seem to fit in with the Harris/Hinch coaching program. There won't be anymore recreations of past glory coaching staffs.
  13. yeah, they have given up more runs than they have scored, but they kind of have to go for it.
  14. You are not alone. When it's all done, I will look back at him as one of the all time great Tigers but year after year of replacement level perfomance at the end end of his career while fans and media pretend that he still has something left got tiring a long time ago.
  15. I am thinking there is a decent chance they get Rodriguez to stay in exchange for a better contract. Maybe an extra year or two. I'd prefer that to the likely return in a trade.
  16. Or because he is facing lefties more often?
  17. Sounds like he is too scared to debate.
  18. The 70s and 80s are the best for me. I am also good at any year of Tigers and also awards and milestones. Anything after around mid 90s blends together for me. Since then, I have concentreated more on individuals and stats than teams.
  19. They are all shiny beads until they start having success in the majors.
  20. I have not listened to it either and don't plan to.
  21. I don't care one way or the other about him, but if people are listening to the podcast they must find the podcast entertaining. If someone from the Free Press read this thread, they would be thrilled to see so many people talking about it.
  22. And that philiosophy is nuts to me. I don't care what other people remember. Peronally, I have an easier time rememberng which teams have been best all year long than which teams won each World Series. I just looked at the list of the last ten champions and I barely remembered that Washington won the World Series. What I remember more was that the Dodgers and Astros were better teams. But it's more than that. When I think back to the 1984 Tigers. I remember them winning the World Series, but what I remember just as much is them being unbeatable for the first 40 games and them being the best all around Tigers team of my lifetime for 171 games.
