The United States is the wealthiest, most powerful country in the world, so I have the same question. I am certainly not going to take the word of a lying sack of **** like Trump.

Politicians almost never impress me because they are almost all full of ****. I have heard her a couple of times and she impressed me.

I think there is a very real chance Greene beaks out into superstardom this year...if he stays healthy.

I don't know enough about any of this stuff to have an informed opinion, but I think the insinuation is that it was going to happen anyway because our financial system and economy are so delicate and artificial. But if the whole thing does collapse because of a trade war, there's really only one person I can blame. Edit: If the stock portion my retirement fund blows up, I will blame myself because I came close to pulling out all my money in January and putting it into a high yield savings (still over 4% at the moment).

That is my guess. I remember reading about him from the Dombrowski days. He was reasonably well versed in baseball analytics, but I didn't get the sense that he had the sophistication of the modern analysts.

Nobody was going to vote for him after that debate. That killed him. And I know Trump's debate performance vs Harris was even worse, but it doesn't matter with him.

I think every prior administration might fiddle with the numbers by maybe changing the definiions of employment or something. I actually expect this regime to just make stuff up. I have zero trust in them

I'm not sure what that means. The way the league is set up, they have to play the Dodgers and have to play west coast games. They got some of that out of the way early and the good parts of their schedule are yet to come. .

How about they play baseball all year? Three seasons of 80 games each. Not every city would have a team in all three seasons. Player stats would cover the entire year without league distinction and players would be individually rewarded at the end of the year. Each player can only play up to 162 games per year, so they won't get two burned out and stats will be comparable with past traditional seasons. Baseball all year round for baseball nuts and three sets of playoffs for playoff fans.

Sure, but if you know he's going to do something and all the choices are bad, that's a different kind of uncertainty than hoping he does the right thing.

OK, I see what you mean. I don't disagree with that. In terms of investments and business interests which is what this thread is about, doing something and sticking with it (even if it's a bad choice) is probably better than the uncertainty and fear of multiple bad choices hanging over our heads. .

I don't agree. Our country and economy was not in dire straits, so there is no reason for such dramatic measures even if you think they are fair in theory. Putting tariffs on every country in the world including allies and countries struggling to survive has a big risk of creating chaos and destruction which could be felt around the world including here. It seems that if he wants to play with tariffs he should be targeting specific countries which may be a threat to us. I don't think many would have a problem with that.

No grand plan for markets and no grand plan for anything else either. He's got **** for brains and no morals. Not a good combo.

I expect the division be like that all year - four mediocre teams vying for the division title and the Tigers have just as much chance as any of them. Edit: It's the wrong four teams at the moment!

I dont know where the survey is, but My answers on these questions are the same as yours. I especially hate seeing the betting odds on the bottom of the tv screen.

Those things matter as much as "best shape of his life" and "working on fundamentals" in spring training.
