  1. So, Dombrowski is selling all his damaged pitchers to the Tigers for cash considerations. Sounds like a scam.
  2. The Tigers acquired Ricardo Sanchez from the Phillies. He'll go to Toledo. 25 years old, 5-10 220 lbs. Unimpressive minor league numbers. Sounds like a typical Tigers injury replacement starter.
  3. He was a regular on the AOL board. I once made a nonsensical all caps text wall post about Gregg Jefferies mocking a huge Jefferies fan on the site. Nitkowski e-mailed me about it pointing out all the inaccuracies. I explained it to him though and he got it.
  4. A big-time MAGA facebook friend posted how proud he was that MAGAs, much to the chagrin of liberals and MSM, were not getting violent over the FBI "raid". He said that they would never get violent because they were not like those BLM and antifa people
  5. He'll come to Spring training in good shape and then have TJ surgery in May.
  6. Rick Porcello is always available! Same age as Wily Perlata and Jose Cisnero.
  7. I am interested in looking at Cabrera's historic numbers on Baseball-Reference and comparing him with other great hitters. Right now, all he is doing is making those numbers worse. On the current team, I am most interested in Manning and Greene. I am somewhat interested in Baez, but I think he is reaching the point in his career where his cold streaks will outnumber his hot streaks. I have some personal favorites like Alexander and Baddoo who probably won't be very good, but I pull for them. They have a lot of good relievers, but relievers are not very interesting on a terrible team. They are also volatile from year to year and they should have traded more of them.
  8. He may have earned it from a player perspective, but that doesn't mean fans have to like seeing it. As someone who cares about baseball history as much as watching the contemporary era, I will always remember Cabrera as one of the elite hitters in team history. Seeing him play beyond his usefulness doesn't help his legacy.
  9. His job is to hit. He does nothing else. The other 8 players do things other than hit.
  10. He may have had ringworm, but that's not why he cheated.
  11. Well, he did contribute to them scoring no runs and almost getting no hit.
  12. The All American family.
  13. I viewed it as a throw comment and did not think you were being dismissive. I have never seen you be disrespectful here.
  14. I remember people hyping him up especially in Spring training and they got mad when you called him a non-prospect. I just figured any player who was drafted in the 35th round and was released probably wasn't very good.
  15. I first came here in 2002 when the AOL board began to deteriorate. I liked that there was a group here that was really into sabermetrics and prospects which wasn't very common at the time. I invited some AOL people over here and one of them said he didn't like it because posters knew TOO much about the Tigers and he felt he couldn't contribute anything! looking back, we really didn't know anything! The only problem was there was some weird contest going on (some kind of promotional thing I think) that had nothing to do with the Tigers or baseball and half the posts were about that. I can't remember what it was, but MWG cleaned that up pretty fast.
  16. But Hilary...
  17. Only the smaht ones do.
  18. I can't be sarcastic or joke on twitter because nobody gets it.
  19. It doesn't matter what they find, The MAGA cult will just say it's no big deal or that it's a hoax.
  20. I watched a lot of Braves games and they became my second favorite team for a while.
  21. I enjoyed those teams a lot. It didn't get really ugly until later in the decade.
  22. I wonder who he planned to sell those to?
  23. After 12 years with 18 different teams, Wynton Bernard has finally made it to the show,
