  1. Of course, he wasn't indicted because of sex. My question is whether his crimes in this particular case are worse than other corrupt businessmen. If not, then he still should be arrested but I think the charges won't be viewed seriously by the general population. They would be viewed as political.
  2. There might have been one or two polls that had Clinton up by double digits a week before the election, but the average poll and the state polls made it look like Trump had a legitimate shot. I think it was something like a 20% of Trump winning which was widely misinterpreted as Clinton winning in a land slide. That was like saying, you need a .200 hitter to get a hit to win the game in the bottom of the 9th or the game is over. No good fan would assume the game was lost at this point. They wouldn't expect a win, but they would stay to watch the finish because they know it has happened before. But ye, I understand that someone who doesn't understand probability might have stayed home instead of voting.
  3. I also hate parks that have a yellow line as home run marker
  4. It depends on who "they" are. Trump will be a lot more well known.
  5. Their grandchildren probably won't even know who Hillary Clinton is. They'll know Trump. They'll want to know why America allowed a mafioso clown be President.
  6. That's because people thought that Biden was a better candidate than Trump. Maybe people didn't think that about Clinton at the time.
  7. The problem is there are a LOT more crazies than I realized. Paying more attention to politics hasn't given me more hope or any feeling that I can do anything about it. It doesn't even make me feel smarter. It just gets me irritated.
  8. Maybe they weren't trying to accomplish anything. They were voting for who they thought was the best candidate. If Clinton was a better candidate she wouldn't have lost to a clown. I was going to vote for Sanders until I fould out that Massachusetts doesn't count write-ins.
  9. I don't think any of her opinions are intense. They are just stupid.
  10. I didn't know what it was either. And I agree that life is better without politics. I figured I'd get away from it when Trump lost, but he and the stupid clowns that surround him just keep coming up over and over.
  11. Yes, you are right. I am just concerned with how it is going to be viewed and I am disappointed that this one came up first. The other cases might all get slowed down enough where nothing happens before November, 2024.
  12. I am also in a role where I am dealing with confidential data all the time. I don't necessarily agree with the rules, but I follow them. But then we had to work at home and it gets more complicated.
  13. I just saw a clip of Sarah Langs and it was painful to watch. The brain is still fully there, but you see her struggling physically. She is one the best young analysts in the game and it's terrible to see her going throught the horror of ALS.
  14. Did they not vote for her becaudse of that or did they just use it as an excuse for hating her in general.
  15. It might become more common with higher salaries. I can see older players hanging on for another year or two with better salaries.
  16. I think it makes him look like a pig and I would bet a small majority of adults agree. However, I don't think most view it as a major criminal offense.
  17. Right, but it's not something that most Americans will take seriously. It will be viewed as something that all the politicians do. I wish they had one of the more serious cases come up first.
  18. It reminds me of the first impeachment where I think they had a weak case among all the other rumored more serious stuff. I think they are going to screw this one up too. They've got all kinds of legitimate stuff to nail him on and this one is just going to look political and not taken seriously.
  19. Like Matt Gaetz?
  20. Lindsey Graham is begging MAGAs to help pay Trump's legal fees. You can't make this stuff up. The sad thing thing is that they probably will!
  21. They didn't actually get him yet. There are still plenty of opportunities for this to get derailed.
  22. Harold Castro made a major league roster too.
  23. DeSantis and a lot of other Republicans are likely happy with the indictment and anything else that can take him down. They will protest everything that happens, so they can blame the Democrats. This will make them look good to the voters in elections.
  24. I wouldn't make 56 my base prediction, but I don't think it's outrageous to think they might be a horrible team again. Pretty much everyone on the roster is a question mark. I don't think they will have as many injuries this year, but their bullpen could be a lot worse and maybe their young players won't develop. I think a few of them will show progres though.
  25. This is true. Projection systems rarely assume that young players will break out, so I think they are more likely to underestimate than overestimate there. Conversely, bad teams are likely to lose some veterans after the trade deadline which I don't think projections take into account. Another mostly unrelated thing I have often wondered about projections is that they almost never project anyone to have a great season because they push everyone towards the mean. This makes them more likely to be right on average. However, I wonder if maybe the projection systems work better for average players than they do for players at the extremes. There are more people in the middle, so there is more certainty in projections. There are so few great players that I think it's harder to get them right.
