  1. which is why I left out the word moral.
  2. We have the biggest baddest military in the world. This is important and very fortunate for us, but it's probably the extent of our authoruty.
  3. Republicans live in the past which is what conservatives do. He probably thinks Democrats still care about the Kennedys.
  4. I don't miss anyone he dumped. The jury is still out on those he brought in, but I like their chances better than those who are now elsewhere.
  5. I saw a quote in The Lowell Sun (our local paper) which was interviewing people on the street about the indiction: "After all he has given up for us, we have to show him support in his difficult time". I get that some people hate government and love chaos and think the Democrats are dangerous. I kind of get all that a little bit but it just blows my mind that people actually think that Trump gives a shit about them. How can you relate to someone like that?
  6. Remember when Republicans were saying that Trump was great for the economy and for Blacks because of the lowest Black unemployment rate ever.
  7. I saw an interview with Malloy. He reminds me of Curtis Granderson.
  8. The Astros learned from Ozzie Guillen, but instead of getting him drunk the night before they get him drunk before the game.
  9. Given the turnover this winter, I was surprised they brought Cisnero back. Fetter has his work cut out for him this year. We will find out how much of an effect he really has.
  10. We have gotten too big and too heterogenous for that and many (includung some of the most influential people in the country) take advantage of it by creating division and hatred.
  11. I would bet that the majority of people had very little conception of what the question was asking. Americans are bad at math and even worse at probability.
  12. Sure, but the gap between the two parties has widened and members of the parties do have tendencies on various issues.
  13. I just learned that today is International Asexuality Day. The Republicans are going to have a melt down.
  14. Boycotting a popular product isn't going to work. They already figured out that maketing their product in a way that appeals to liberals will be a net gain. That is the only reason they did it. They aren't doing it to be woke. They are doing it to make money.
  15. I was just reading about him and he sounds like a Democrat - environmentalist, indigenous rights, etc. It's just the anti-vax thing that doesn't fit
  16. I wouldn't be so hard on Cabrera if it was one bad year after a great career, but he's been a replacement level career for 7 years (after a great career). Like I said, I understand why he has to play, but I am not enjoying it.
  17. I had assumed Kennedy was a Republican because of his anti-vax stance. Can't they get some candidates that aren't either ancient or nut jobs or both?
  18. They would be giving 350 at bats of experience to players who who might be able to help them in the future. They would find out more about their young players for their future planning. I understand why he has to be play, but I'm not going to pretend it doesn't matter.
  19. I think it's being done out of respect more than marketing. Even if they were a contender, they'd be stuck with him.
  20. I don't know how serious these crimes are to students of law, but the fact that he is a former president running for office again has nothing to do with whether or not he should be prosecuted. We are supposed to be equal before the law. Of course, we aren't. This clown is still getting secret service protection, living a life of luxury and collecting millions in "campaign funds" while spouting anti-American BS like "defunding the FBI and DOJ"
  21. What matters is that the Tigers won the series!
  22. Unless there wave been recent updates, I don't think WAR takes base out state into consideration. You could get that if you plugged WPA into the formula as the offensive component.
  23. So, is Weismann suggesting that Trump is not being a proper mob boss?
  24. The Clintons have been planning it for years.
