I think the stakes are already pretty close to zero. This is a concept about which I'm skeptical though. I would think it would be harder to get up for games if nothing is at stake. I suppose it varies from player to player.

Take a look at this list. The more liberal your state is, the longer you'll live. It's almost a pefect correlation! https://www.beckershospitalreview.com/public-health/life-expectancy-by-state-cdc.html

I want a right-handed college pitcher with a history of elbow problems.

The price you pay for being a contender.

The prospect lists seem to be top heavy with position players which I like.

He's not wrong.

You don't need to create a new thread every time a thought enters your mind. There are so many threads now, I can never find the thread with the topic I am looking for. I would appreciate an update on the Tigers record when Reyes starts though.

Hinch will get credit for it.

In the end, I think the wealthy ultimately control both parties more than the bases do and they are only happy to see the rest of have class and identity wars.
-
I use to think that, but the last several years I am not so sure.

Nothing wrong with that. I don't think he's a good GM, but when I look back at the Randy Smith, it's hard to view Avila as epically bad.

I don't think he is Randy Smith level bad, but I think it's time to move on.

I'd prefer that set up. I think Candelario is coming back soon, so Castro is going to need a position

If Torkelson is sent to Toledo, I hope they leave Schoop at second base. His defense at second base has been one of the few bright spots.

I am just pointing out that owners and front offices might respect people in the game for different reasons than fans might.

I think the Angels job is pretty appealing. They've got a tremendous core of talent there.

I also think that. He is certainly smart, but I think his failure to stop the players from cheating when he was against it is a negative mark on his record. It doesn't mean he can't learn from his mistakes, but I could see where teams might be a little hesitant about him.

That must have been inspiring.

Avila has not been popular on this board for a long time. Just because people question the awesomeness of the great AJ Hinch does not mean they like Avila as the GM.

It's a player's only meeting. Hopefully Tarik Skubal is tearing everyone a new one.

yeah, I know. I don't think this is Hinch's fault. I am still in the "managers are overrated" camp.
