  1. That worked out great the last time!
  2. Finding ways to hate people is a way of life for Trump. He will have no problem making the adjustment.
  3. Obama was inspiring, but I think he was hurt by his inexperience especially in working with Congress. In retrospect, Biden should have been President from 2009-2016 and Obama from 2017-2024.
  4. That was a big deal especially to those old school Republicans looking for an alternative to Trump. I have no idea whether that could have been avoided, but milatary missteps are always judged harshly by Republicans and right leaning independents.
  5. Biden made the right choice. It has been pretty obvious for a while that his communication skills have diminished to the point that he is no longer an effective campaigner and his disastrous debate sealed it. I feel like they were not going to win with him as the candidate. A new candidate might do even worse but they also might energize the voters and win the election. It's a chance that had to be taken.
  6. I think that applies to a very large percentage of radio and tv commentators.
  7. Or maybe he has no strong party affiliation and is in it for #2
  8. Gaslighting is a form of psychological abuse or manipulation in which the abuser attempts to sow self-doubt and confusion in their victim's mind. Stop psychologically abusing and manipulating Chasfh and 84.😀
  9. I always assumed Silver was more married to math and money than party affiliation.
  10. I am about 50/50 which is probably about right for my age (61) but I still worry about a crash prior to the time I am required to make withdrawls.
  11. A rare W from ANYONE in Trump's circle.
  12. Lots of Kennedy signs in southern, NH today.😔
  13. And just because he follows a particular religion does not mean that he has all the same beliefs as all others sharing that religion.
  14. He recently protected some guy from a bullet.
  15. I don't believe I have ever voted for him, but I respect Romney and had no problem with him when he was governor of Massachusetts or any of his other positions. I don't respect people who try to illegally overturn elections.
  16. Of course wealthy donors don't want a lot of change since everything is going great for them! My problem with the Democratic party is that I think that they talk about change more than they actually want it since they have to please their donors. Pre-Trump, the Republicans basically told their voters 'we're going to treat you like ****, but don't worry. It's going to be good for you!" So, the Demcratics have been more hypocritical in that respect. Where the Republicans have been hypocritical, espcially now under Trump is pretending to care about Christianity and family values of which many of them have none. They also always talk about patriotism and the constitution and now it turns out that they have disdain for the constitution.
  17. I actually don't know where Trump stands because I don't think he has any real beliefs. He is a populaist demagogue who loves attention and power.
  18. Tigeraholic, I do not want you to leave the board! You are a valuable poster in multiple forums.
  19. The right no longer represents my values in any way. Until they disavow Donald Trump, I can not support anything they do. The left somewhat represent my values, but there is a lot of BS over there too, so I am independent who votes lefty by default.
  20. He also may have participated in a coup. I know that probably sounds dramatic to you, but I believe what happened leading up to the January 6 riot was a coup even if the whole thing was poorly executed. He was one of the main instigators of that effort.
  21. It's sucks that Biden decided to raise inflation. And then he raised interest rates right after that. What was he thinking?
  22. I didn't watch this because listening to Trump makes me ill. Was he serene, spiritual and humble like his allies decribed?
  23. I agree they can be a playoff contender next year, not a primary contender, but one that could sneak in their with good development from youngsters and a few secondary acquisitions in free agency in trades. They should be trying to put a competitive team on the field every year now. They can develop their future "core" in the minors and be reasonably competive at the same time. And yes, every player is available at the right price. I don't expect that to happen with Skubal though.
