    I listened to games on the radio and made my own box scores and kept track of Tigers statistics as best as I could until TSN came at the end of the week. If I couldn't listen to the game because it was a day game or there was too much static, I would cut the boxscores out of the paper if they had them.

    I despise the fact that they support Trump. I love the fact that they are serving our country. I think they are being used by Trump and his handlers.

    I play fantasy baseball. I am just pointing out that it's not as regional as people are saying here. I actually don't think young people follow sports at all the way we used to follow it. There is a lot less sitting there and watching games. They'll be jumping around social media and somebody tells them about an exciting play and they will go pull up the highlight and check it out. Then they'll go do something else.

    They are also well payed as they should be. It is not a social justice situation like many people on twitter are making it out to be. They are less annoying than the owners took a risk and they earned their money crowd, but it's really hard to stand for either side.

    Maybe. I think they bigger question may be whether fans will come back after discovering in the Covid era that there are other things they can do and even like better. On the other hand, attendance did drop for a few years after 1994 until they juiced up the balls and bodies.

    It's the summer game and they'll still go to the games, but they'll lose a small percentage on top of losses they've already encountered. I think they'll lose money through TV subscriptions too. I think what may save them is gambling, but even the gamblers might not like baseball as much as other sports. It's too random. I do agree they need to speed up the game, but they are still competing with sports that are more exciting to new fans than baseball.

    Unless the field for the 2024 presidency changes substantially, my only concern is Trump re-assuming the presidency. I am not enamored by Democratic leadership, but I trust they'll let the miltary experts inform them as to the best course of action. I can't trust the former guy to do that. He'll just make it all about himself.

    ? Do you mean "Do you think the players give a shit about the fans?" Maybe one, but probably not two. I am kind of neutral on the players position. I would rather they gain more money than the owners, but I don't feel bad for them. They are paid well. It's not a social justice thing.

    I still think it will be close to a full season. They'll play chicken a little while longer and start the season some time in April.

    No, I don't expect someone of his ilk to be honest or care about anything beyond money. I EXPECTED him to say something stupid and he did. That doesn't excuse him for saying something stupid.

    The pitch clock would be good. I am sure they'll find a way to screw it up, but there is potential there.
