I agree that if Trump won, Democrats would have had similar concerns and there would have been lawsuits while the Republicans would have been just fine with it. The difference is Trump didn't just express concerns and file lawsuits. He flat out said that the election was stolen and pushed baseless conspiracy theories as supposed proof. His lack of respect for our country and democracy is unforgivable.

Of course they think that way, but how did it come to that point? It is obvious why people are disturbed when they see see little tiny humans with body parts taken out. How can you not be affected by that even if you are pro-choice? That is not most abortions though. What about much earlier when there is no appearance of life at all? What happens at conception which makes it a person?

I think it's mostly terrible diets and lack of exercise than anything else. More recently, drug abuse has taken its toll. It's interesting that immigrants, including Hispanics, have a longer life expectancy than both White and Black Americans.

We don't seem to be big on life expectancy in the US. We have among the lowest of developed countries.

No, but I think that's an extreme opinion not shared by many. I think the only time that might be OK if the baby has no chance to live and the woman's life is in danger. I am thinking more of pro-lifers who think it's never ok to have an abortion even less than a week into the pregnancy. I believe pro-life is, at least sub-consciously, tied to the idea that it's sinful for women to have sex outside of marriage, but less so for men. So, I think abortion would be viewed differently if men were the carriers. Also, like you said, men don't want to have babies after casual sex. I also think men would also not want to be inconvenienced by having to carry a baby for nine months.

Getting back to the guns, the Arbery case was totally different from the Rittenhouse case. If that was not murder, then there would have been riots worse than 2020. The Rittenhouse case was much more complex. However, half the country celebrating Rittenhouse as a vigilante hero is frightening. That is more of a gun control issue than a race issue, although vigilantism going mainstream would disproportionately affect non-white people.

I am a lot less interested in what men think about abortion than what women think about abortion. In fact, I am very confident that if men were the ones that gave birth, the feelings about abortion would be radically different.

Martinez is in. It took a long time, but he made it in 2019. I think Ortiz deserves credit for his strong post-season play, although I put a lot more emphasis on the regular season. It's also ok to consider "fame" as a qualification as long as you are consistent. I personally wouldn't though. I will look at this more later because I love this stuff, but right now I'll go with Bonds, Clemens, Rodriguez, Schilling, Rolen, Helton.

I don't say anything good about him because he's been a fraud his whole life and he's a bigger disgrace than I even realized. Then he sold them weapons a couple of weeks later. That sounds more like an arms deal than a peace deal. Nothing Trump did matters anymore anyway. He undermined our democracy on the way out the door and continues to actively divide our country as a former president. He is a huge disgrace and should not be given any benefits of the doubt, but people like you keep enabling him by pretending everything was ok.
