  1. Are you really trying to understand why Trump thinks the way he does! It will drive you crazy. 😃
  2. which I believe I explained in the rest of my post.
  3. Without the injury, he'd be one of the elite free agents on the market and I think the Tigers would not get involved in that. With the injury, perhaps they can get him on a shorter-term deal.
  4. Divide and conquer for sure.
  5. I know people who seriously believe that he took a bullet for his country!
  6. There is no doubt that income equality has steadily gotten worse for decades and that it isn't being addressed enough, not even by the Democrats. We do more for the wealthy than anybody else. I actually do think that many Democrats are out of touch elitists. Rural areas in trouble have been largely been ridiculed over the years. The states are called fly over states and the residents are called rednecks. Then they tell them that they have to be nice to the big city minorities who are also disadvantaged (in a different and worse way). This is part of why rural states hate Democrats. What they got wrong was not recognizing that Trump is even worse.
  7. I do not believe the assassination attempt was staged, but I don't think he was hit by a bullet either. I think he was hit by schrapnel. It's just hard to believe that a bullet from an AR-15 would do so little damage. Whether he knew that he was not hit by a bullet at the moment of his almost too good to be true photo op, I am not sure.
  8. Ha-Seong Kim is the Korean Tony Phillips! He is definitely someone I'd like to see the Tigers pursue.
  9. It's Bill Maher, but this is good: https://x.com/billmaher/status/1852552373484589118
  10. Yes, I didn't explain myself in my original post. I figured it was kind of given in this thread that spending => debt ==> printing which is why I just skipped to the printing part.
  11. So, which recent president hasn't overspent? Which one didn't contribute substantially to the debt? Which one genuinely tried to fix the problem? There have been congresspeople that talked about debt, but nobody has really tried to do anything about it.
  12. As you know, the printing money thing has nothing to do with Harris, Tump or Biden. Neither of them caused the problem and neither of them will fix it as long as Wall Street benefits.
  13. It certainly looked staged...until I found out that somebody was killed. Trump probably wouldn't mind seeing someone died if it was to his benefit, but I don't think his team would take the chance of getting caught.
  14. I think we already have an oligarchy, but this arrangement would certainly make it easier for them.
  15. No, the Masshole transplants in strip mall southern NH will save us.
  16. Remember Stan's Obama erection video?
  17. Correct, through Wall Street!
  18. There is no doubt he would manipulate it to support Wall Street.
  19. I would not mention politics and just have a good discussion about baseball with you. I would only punch you in the face if you wore a Yankees cap.
  20. The federal reserve raised thes rate due to world-wide inflation cause by Covid reactions. Many have argued that Trump pressured the Federal Reserve to keep the rates near zero for too long.
  21. I would not call you a Nazi.
  22. No, they aren't all racist nazis Most of them just don't pay enough attention.
  23. What was wrong with his reaction to the pandemic? Was it because he pretended it was not real? Made jokes about it? Took no responsibility and blamed everybody else? Suggested that people could inject themselves with disinfectant or shine a light up their ass? Gave billions of dollar in stimulus payments to people who didn't need it? That all seems reasonable to me.
  24. How much effect do you think a VP has on the economy? It's close because people don't pay attention to what's going on and the media has normalized Trump's extreme psychopathy. It's really very disturbing. If the Republican candidate was someone sane like Haley or Pence, I wouldn't even be in this forum. This is where I vent my frustration over the big mistake America is making by falling for the Trump con. Although I wouldn't vote for her personally, I actually think Haley would have a much better chance than Trump.
  25. The economy is always a factor. There are always people who are going to get screwed no matter what and others who will do great no matter what. We've been telling that to you Republicans for years! I just don't think it's comparatively bad now. But let's imagine for a moment though that Trump was not a traitor, a fascist and an overall disgraceful person and was actually a legitimate choice for President. What specifically do you think he can do to fix to improve a economy? Eliminate the income tax and pay for everything with tariffs? Deport 16 million immigrants?
