  1. He was a bad player overall last year. Just not a bad fielder.
  2. It's a legitimate topic in general, but when it is brought up by a high level politician who knows what kind of system she is getting into, it sounds disingenuous.
  3. I could write a whole chapter about that...
  4. Here is an interesting post out the potential danger of over platooning: http://tangotiger.com/index.php/site/comments/plesac-says-to-not-stack-your-lineup-with-rhh-against-lhp?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter It's not conclusive, but theory is intriguing.
  5. His offense is terrible. I'd prefer that they not be stuck with him. I believe his defense is still pretty good. I am not defending him so much as questioning the out-of-date stats you are presenting to make him look like an even worse player than he is.
  6. I think it's too late to change him. Let him be himself and maybe he gets his power back. Of course, they know more than me, but turning him into an on base guy seems like a lost cause.
  7. Baez may be a waste of a roster spot, but he doesn't suck at fielding. He was good enough to start in 2022 and while I'm not convinced he can get back to that level, I think it's possible. The only real difference between Baez in 2023 and some of his good years was lack of power If he gets that back along with his good fielding, he can be useful.
  8. Fielding Percentage is a terrible stat. It doesn't take into account how many plays a fielder makes. It just penalizes him for errors. According to statcast outs above average, Baez was in the 95th percentile last year. That isn't the absolute answer, but I'll certainly take it over fielding percentage, which is practically useless by itself.
  9. yes, Trump has no intellect, but he is a skilled salesman who knows how to manipulate people. It's just amazing to me how many people fall for his act.
  10. Yeah, I agree if he loses, he is done no matter how much he whines the next four years. If he wins, he'll try to pass it on to one of his children. I know his sons are morons. Jr is the stupid version of his father...which is saying a lot.
  11. If Trump wins, his son or daughter will run in 2028.
  12. True, but it was even better on March 6, 2016.
  13. Trump doesn't want to negotiate. He wants to humiliate people and then have them come beg for favors. He has done it over and over. So many people have no self respect at all.
  14. Why didn't he win in a landslide in either of the past two elections?
  15. No, you have pointed to some inconsistencies in the polls which I agree with. I haven't see unreasonable expectations from you. I see some others assuming that Biden will win easily and I just don't see it.
  16. Yes, I think this forum is way too optimistic about Biden winning. It's going to be a close race like it was in 2016/2020. I'd say 50/50.
  17. I think it's anti-Trump more than pro-Biden. His favorability rating is still really low.
  18. She will endorse him. He won't let her be VP.
  19. Another weak day for the former president struggling to stay above 70% in many states.
  20. Third round draft pick out of Vanderbilt. Good power potential. Some people had him going in the second round. Drafted as a SS, but he's too big for the position and will probably end up at 3B.
  21. Interesting comp, but I believe you are right. Northrup was a solid defender at all three outfield positions.
  22. Is that Republicans or is it Democrats and Independents voting in the Republican primary?
