I agree that's agood reason to change it if the players don't like it. However, it brings me back to what Harris said about the deep fences in the outfield. He believed that it was a potential advantage to the Tigers if they built their team with that in mind which they seem to be doing to some extent. Perhaps, they decided that there was no way to turn the dirt strip into an advantage.
The article was not all that clear, but he called him an elite defender. He appeared to say it in response to the question about outfield injuries.
I don't believe that he considers him to be an elite center fielder.
I've heard that a lot about minor league players and then they don't show it in the majors. Harris is certainly smarter than Avila, but that doesn't mean he'll always tell the truth. We know he is a strong defender at short but I am not convinced he is an elite center fielder.
He has no morals or filters at all, yet also needs constant attention and adulation. There are no limits to what he'll do as long as gets the constant adulation. The country keeps giving it to him.
They switched Perez to the outfield because he was making a lot of throwing errors, so I don't know if it's a good idea to move him back. Your Keith/Tork/Malloy scenario seems like a good possibility.
Yes, he was actually a well regarded prospect at one time. Maybe, the Tigers still see something in him...Unfortunately, it looks more like a desperation move by a team that's really short in capable defenders in the outfield.
Nerve conduction tests are nasty. They hurt more than the injury they are trying to diagnose. In the first part of the test, they give you electric shocks that feel like they are repeatedly hitting you with a hammer. Then the stick needles in you muscles and have you flex. The pain is excruciating.
yeah, I have nerve issues off and on and they are very unpredictable. They start and end for no obvious reason. When I get a muscle injury. I usually have an idea what caused it, about how long it will take to get better and I can feel it getting better gradually. Nerves just do what they want.
I have heard it here and there, but I didn't know it was the official MLB language for the "regular season" which is what I have always called it. "Championship season" sounds like a name for the playoffs.
