  1. So, that's what this is all about.
  2. They may be true "believers" but it doesn't mean that they have Christian values which is dangerous.
  3. This is what my previous post was about. I don't think most of these congresspeople give a **** about religion, but they'll pretend to be religious to get votes, maintain power and pick your pocket or someone's picket.
  4. I don't know about broken legs, but there is good chance they'll try to pick your pocket.
  5. It seems that Rodriguez got exactly the deal his agent supposedly asked for to make the trade happen.
  6. Making the team better through player transactions is part of his job, so it's logical to think it could have been his fault. That is not part of Rodriguez's job.
  7. Eduardo Rodriguez owes nothing to fans. It sucks that we didn't get our prospects, but he did what he felt was right for himself which is what most (if not all) of us would do when deciding where to work and how much money we make. If I was going to blame anyone it might be Harris. Maybe, he could have figured something out earlier, but I don't know that he didn't try so I don't blame him either.
  8. yeah, maybe they see something that doesn't show up in the stats, but the stats themselves don't suggest that he belongs in the majors. How many of these minor league rule 5 guys ever spend any significant time in the majors? I don't follow it, but I imagine it's a fairly low percentage.
  9. He has a pretty low k rate for a minor league reliever. Those guys don't usually have success in the majors.
  10. Is next year the year Reyes finally hits for power?
  11. I agree on Ohtani. He'll probably be a great hitter for a long time, but rumored contracts being thrown around suggest that he'll continue to be a two-way player which seems very questionable.
  12. Oh no, MiGuy has already hard a rough week on this site. And now he gets Edmanned.
  13. I looked to see if he was related to Bart. He does not seem to be
  14. Seriously, one of the biggest steps in writing a book is to get all your ideas written down even if they are they are not organized and edited yet. It sounds like that is what you have done.
  15. Hire an editor to reduce the caps and exclamation points. You'll be fine beyond that. 😃
  16. One can also question why upper management though they could bypass Hinch and go directly to the players. Would they have tried that with Leyland or Anderson?
  17. I think Leyland would have quit. I understand that's easier for an old veteran mamager who is close to retirement. The hard part would be telling MLB about it, not so much because he'd be afraid of being blackballed, but more because he'd be throwing players under the bus. I won't call it "ratting" because that suggests that telling the truth is a bad thing.
  18. I would never assume that a baseball manager has a lot of power! I think I've made that clear many times. I don't want to see any further punishment. I just consider it a negative in his resume. I don't have any complaints about his management of the Tigers.
