I'd rather watch Jobe. The playoffs are going to feature some strong line-ups. I don't know how ready Jobe is for this,but he's got a better chance to succeed than Madden.

Yes, most great comebacks involve one team surging and another one failing. It doesn't take anything away from what they did.

Run differential is mostly useful looking forward. Once the season is over, it's about wins and losses.

I agree there have been very real improvements with position players. The crazy part is the pitching. Hinch/Fetter have gotten an incredible amunt out of what they had available the last couple of months.

There is nothing wrong with Sizemore using Crochett versus the Tigers. The Tigers job is to win regardless of who the pitcher is, so it doesn't matter. He'll only go 4 innings though, so who cares?

You'll have to explain to them how the Tigers pitching staff works with openers and bulk relievers.

Harris with a very slight edge is a consistent theme. The gamblers give her a similar edge. It's basically a toss up right now.

Benetti and Petry is a great combo. Dickerson and Dirks is a great combo. That's what I would like to see most of the time.

I was younger then, but Harwell never ever annoyed me. Dickerson doesn't annoy me either even when he is paired with a weak partner. Benetti sometimes pushes his esoteric humor a little too much, but he is great.

I am not too surprised. I figured when they promoted him to Toledo, there was a decent chance they would call him up for a start if they were still in the race.

I think he was taking a shot at me for complaining about expanded playoffs in the past. I still don't like expanded playoffs in general. Making the playoffs because they have wildcards is not what makes this exciting for me. It's the comeback itself that excites me. If they don't make the playoffs or they get bounced in the first round, I will still consider this a remarkable run.

I don't think Pence is a nut job. He has conservative beliefs and I will almost always disagree with him, but I think he is sane. I also think his beliefs are shared by a very large portion of the electorate. He is not radical, just somebody who I am almost never going to agree with.

I don't think he'll be their closer for long either, but I don't worry about his fragility. He's just a mediocre closer.
