Some other Presidents (maybe all of them) have divided us to some extent, but Trump is the only one who actively tries to do it every day. He revels in it.

I remember him saying that as it happened. I wasn't sure I heard it right because I couldn't believe that anyone would be dumb and insensitve enough to say anything like that. I always knew he was a stupid shallow douchebag, but I didn't know what a psychopath he was until that moment.

We don't know what the viable options are because we don't what the Tigers think abut the readiness of the options or what position they will ultimately play.

I agree on both points, I just don't think that waiting another year to make improvements externally is necessarily going to give them a better chance to win. Rignt now, they play in a relatively soft division and have the best pitcher in baseball. They are ready now.

It would be cool if Canada were added too. However, I think we may be too big already. 330 million people and so much diversity. It's kind of unwieldy. And we obsess over the constitution which was written when there were fewer than 4 million people. Itwas a totally different country.

Right, I am not interested in Verlander/Scherzer either. I was commenting more on trying to repeat what they did at the end of last year. I hoping that at any given time during the year they have enough healthy and successful starers where they don't need to have bullpen games almost every day. It's good that Hinch knows how to it when necessary, but I wouldn't want them to overdo it.

It's untested. I don't know if something like that can work for a full season. I think it requires too many pitchers to be reliable. A couple of injuries to key relievers would probably blow it up. I could see a modified version - where you maybe have 3 or 4 solid starters and some bullpen games.

The constution says nothing about primaries...I do like primaries better than having the party select a candidate, but having a bunch of candidates also opens the door for a grifter or otherwise nefarious individual to be nominated based on a plurality.
