Week Seven: Detroit Lions (1-4) @ Dallas Cowboys (4-2)

I hate the Astros as much as the next guy. But keeping the streak of the Yankees missing the World Series alive is pretty sweet. -

I saw him send him out, I'm just not sure if that actually triggers anything of significance (i.e., "if a game official notices X, Y, or Z, they shall..."), or if it's just like any other injury where he has to sit out one play, but it's on team and league personnel to make any further determination. I agree there is heightened scrutiny since Tua, so it wouldn't surprise me if there was a communication sent out that made game officials a part of it. -

I don't think game officials have any say over the concussion protocol, unless that was a change in policy post-Tua... I could see the independent doctors and neurologists erring way on the side of holding a player out though, given one of their own was fired for making a mistake. -
I'm not going to pass judgement on Goff until this season is complete. At some point this year, Swift, ASB, and Jaymo should be on the field together. If he's still dinking and dunking, and looking like the NFL version of Wilton Speight, I'm going to be more apt to say we need to find a replacement sooner rather than later. I'm also not going to say "because we are drafting at X, we should take a QB" either. I think that's stupid and how you end up with Zach Wilson as your quarterback. Be careful what you wish for as it pertains to the next QB though. It's easy to say "we should draft a top ten QB" and a lot harder to identify that guy... You have a league average QB right now, who makes frustrating mistakes at times and is frustratingly conservative at times, but also doesn't tend to lose you games. If you say you want to move on, and you move on to the wrong QB, you're ultimately clearing house of Holmes, Campbell, and likely most of the offensive progress they've made, like ASB and parts of the line. It's a chips-all-in move.

Yankees lost too. Can’t be a bad day when the Yankees get swept and Aaron Rodgers embarrasses himself -

I don't understand how this offense scores 35 against the Eagles, 36 against Washington, and 45 against Seattle, while our defense surrenders 28 to the Vikings, 29 to the Patriots, and 17 to the Cowboys, and we are fucking 1-5. -

There you have it. Defense holds a 4-2 team to 17 points and the offense goes and lays a turd on the Dallas Star. -

Just crazy how consistent the NFL referees are in calling penalties on Detroit and not Dallas. -

Best defensive play we have seen all season on 3rd and 1. Credit where credit is due. Extend Anzalone! -

I think the prior play probably would have stood. Four plays to get a yard shouldn't be a problem unless you're offensively inept. Oh, right. -

For all the injuries this team has, Jamaal is pretty durable. He takes a licking and keeps on ticking. Knock on wood. -

Looked like a block in the back was missed at about the 10 or 15 yard line. -

I'm okay with being conservative, but I would have liked to see at least one pass. Pick up some yards or a DPI and you might be able to steal another 3. -

They were missing all three against Seattle and still put up 45. It feels like the offensive line has taken a step back from their initial dominating performances. We were running at will with any running back in those first four weeks. Maybe it's a testament to the Dallas defensive front. I hate Dallas, but they do have a good defensive line.
