  1. You know what's funny about that? Apparently, I was the only one in America who thought the Lions were going to lose. It was such an obvious call (to me) that I didn't even bother posting it. Unfortunately, Federal employees can't go on strike but since there are no longer any laws - go for it!
  2. Federal employees need to lock the doors and have a sit down strike. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flint_sit-down_strike
  3. And Dynomutt, Dog Wonder! And yes, I know how you are using Blue Falcon. 😉
  4. I knew they weren't going to win. I just didn't post anything about it because I don't post as much anymore. I based it on two things. 1. The Lions played the Washington "Team" three times prior in the playoffs. They lost all three games and were outscored 105 - 34. 2. Not counting yesterdays game the Lions as a team had a record of 11-31 against teams from Washington. Sometimes past performance is indicative of future losses.
  5. I know many such people. They died in 2015 - 2017 but live like the zombies in The Walking Dead or the pod people from Invasion Of The Body Snatchers if you want to use an older reference. Their next step is indeed actual death as they will never return to what they used to be.
  6. "....get rid of that artificially drawn line" between Canda and the United States. So - open borders?
  7. What library is that book from? Walt Whitman? Busch? Miller? Most of Warren's libraries have been closed for decades. Either way I'm telling Violet Splatt on you! J/K - I imagine she passed away decades ago.
  8. John Steinbeck said this about that in the 1930's: "Except for the field organizers of strikes, who were pretty tough monkeys and devoted, most of the so-called Communists I met were middle-class, middle-aged people playing a game of dreams. I remember a woman in easy circumstances saying to another even more affluent: 'After the revolution even we will have more, won't we, dear?' Then there was another lover of proletarians who used to raise hell with Sunday picknickers on her property. "I guess the trouble was that we didn't have any self-admitted proletarians. Everyone was a temporarily embarrassed capitalist. Maybe the Communists so closely questioned by the investigation committees were a danger to America, but the ones I knew — at least they claimed to be Communists — couldn't have disrupted a Sunday-school picnic. Besides they were too busy fighting among themselves." The quote has since been distilled to this: "Socialism never took root in America because the poor see themselves not as an exploited proletariat but as temporarily embarrassed millionaires."
  9. I’m somewhat horrified to learn that I apparently have a unique insight to the evil animal that is man. I have nothing additional to say but will leave you with this quote from the B movie “Cruise Into Terror.” "That there is a devil, there is no doubt, but is he trying to get into us or is he trying to get out?"
  10. Looks like White Supremacy for the win. Michigan once again will put Trump in office.
  11. They absolutely do think that. They are a lost people. Just talked to a male relative who is in his 80's and pro-choice especially for his granddaughters. However, he was Hitler Jugend and thus voted for Trump.
