Yeah but can you imagine how good Burrow would be if he didn't hold on to the ball too long, take too many hits, and miss time with injuries? He might pile up numbers like Goff! I kid, I kid. I don't have a problem with someone ranking Burrow as a better QB than Goff. Burrow is physically more talented than Goff. But the most important part of QB play is mental and you can't see what mental work a QB is doing every play. When the game is going as Goff has planned it, he makes it look easy. Pitch and catch. But on those few plays where Goff is surprised by what he is seeing, he doesn't have the presence or athleticism to improvise.

Sure, but the whole thing is awkward. Has there been any specific account of what they did that was against the CBA?

Maybe Tomiln felt OK bringing Sutton back thinking that nobody will want to ask him about anything other than Russell Wilson vs. Justin Fields.

Add him to the list of guys whose careers Stafford made.

Let's remember that Stafford was the QB for the receivers with the two most productive receiving seasons in NFL history. Taking nothing away from Johnson or Nakua (or Goff), but it's not a coincidence that Stafford was involved in these records. Also, while I'm at it, if my team is down by 6 with 48 seconds left, and I get to pick any QB to lead us down the field, it would be Stafford. But maybe for the other 59 minutes I have a slight preference at this point for Goff. He is a very talented QB. He deserves his contract. I'm glad he's here. He may end up winning more games (and Super Bowls) than Stafford, with fewer spectacular highlight plays.

There is so much talent in this league that every franchise has some of it. But leadership matters.

The guy has career earnings of $2.5 million. Which means after taxes and agent fees he’s earned about a million. Now, instead of letting Pat Mahomes set him up for life, he’s going to have to spend most of the rest of his money on lawyers and he is one more incident from being unsignable.

And they saw the top two CBs on their board as the draft’s best in run support, in addition to their coverage skills. BTW, haven’t they heard this is a passing league? 😉
