    I’m not sure they got away from the run game as much as they looked completely out of sync passing. Dropped passes, blown routes, pick six. Defense has not been great but the passing game hung them out to dry. Swift is having a great day, though. And on cue, Goff hits Reynolds in the hands. Five drops today, per Schlereth, and Goff fumbles the snap.

    They showed MCDC admonishing Hock after the pick. Hock put his head down as if he knew it was on him. And there have been a few other plays where it seemed like guys were running the wrong routes. I wonder if MCDC is calling plays on this drive.

    At halftime Harbaugh should just meet Hawaii’s coach at midfield, hand him a giant novelty check made out for $1.9 million, shake his hand, and send the rainbows home.

    The Rams-Bills game looks a lot different if Von Miller suits up for the home team. He could have been Super Bowl MVP last year.

    I used to be surprised the NFL hasn’t done more of this. Then I thought of all the footage that would be out there to incriminate players and coaches for this that and the other thing.

    Great idea. I wonder if Brad Holmes has thought of it. Or maybe it is just very, very, very hard to find someone who has all of the skills required in an NFL QB, so the best you can do when you are picking through the list after the top 70 or so prospects have been spoken for us to pick a guy with the one irreplaceable skill.

    6-9-2 For all the talk about the weak schedule, those weak teams are also thinking, “We can beat the Lions.” They are still weak up the middle and have an unproven and thin secondary. Offense should be pretty good, but where is the explosiveness with Jaymo out the first part of the season? If they hit eight wins the season will be a smashing success.

    In three seasons, Sudfeld has appeared in four games. He is 25/37 (67.6%) for 188 yards with one TD and one INT. Passer rating of 77.3. So a substantial improvement over Blough and Boyle.
