I'll apologize in advance for my cynicism and I really like Schatz but this is kinda just performative. Maybe it has rallying value, that could be the case, but my understanding is there was going to be 30 hours of debate scheduled anyways, so they just used up the allotted time. At best this seemingly just delays him by 30 hours but it doesn't seem like they did that if it was already scheduled time.

The Gambler was a really good book. I esp liked he he talked about how he approached betting. He talks about a lot of gambling during his golf matches and that was interesting because it was ungodly amounts of money, but i could have done without the play by play of peoples drives, approach, and putting game.
