  1. Lol wow. Who knew DEI contained a hard R? House GOP leaders urge members: Stop making race comments about Harris https://www.politico.com/news/2024/07/23/gop-race-comments-harris-00170735
  2. I think macho man used to call it puke-amania and that was prescient
  3. The Sheik is an absolute Twitter legend. Master of swear word usage. I miss him.
  4. More conspiracy I'll wonder about for a while.... Biden challenged Trump to that debate. Timing was really early which was... interesting. Did Biden's campaign think that was a good idea? Why so early? That debate is really the only thing that's moved any numbers in like 2 years.
  5. One of my favorite political photos. Gov Walz after he signed universal free meals for school kids. Whitmer did this too in Michigan.
  6. I would be open to agreeing with a notion that when Biden decided to bounce, a handoff was coordinated with Harris. I'm ok w/ believing the notion that Biden decided that on Saturday, not way before then. That would be awesome if they rope-a-dope'd trump like that though. G2 do you think it's conspiratorial to think the Democrats that wanted him out intentionally made the "stay in the race" option untenable?
  7. I think this happened to an extent too. I think when they started going public, it became untenable, and they chose to do that and I think it was purposeful, my understanding is it was after many private attempts. I also think some donors may have consciously decided not to donate to force him out, but I think others probably just thought he was doomed and it was a waste of money. In the end, if he remained and was nominated, I expected to see a commercial 2 minutes after his acceptance speech listing off all of the Democrats in his party that said he wasn't fit to be president. I don't know how he can recover from that.
  8. Do you mean he was literally forced, or they made the stay option so bad that the correct choice was clear? Or something else?
  9. I think the first half is exactly what trump is doing. Whether that constitutes an official act is going to be litigated. As always I stayed in a holiday inn express so I could be wrong
  10. I was thinking about your wife's situation while I was reading SkyBlue's link. That really is pretty crappy man. In your opinion, do you think what happened to your wife has happened on a broader scale? I'm not going to argue either way, just wondering your opinion.
  11. yeah I'm not on that argument either, I think we actually agree more than we disagree I obvs see your perspective re: Illinois, but I do think the lack of the individual vote value there is b/c of the sum value of the individual votes there which I know is circular but is also true I think the most plausible way to rid of the electoral college was the movement I was seeing in the wake of 2016 where folks were arguing that if all of the states just went to proportional selection of electors it would render the electoral college useless but obvs the unified reich isn't going to go with that
  12. We already saw that Unified Reichers will try to assasinate candidates so it's very risky for Joe to bounce
  13. Yep this happened on West Wing it's how lumberg became VP
  14. I think your vote is valuable in locking up Illinois which is valuable
  15. I got all of that and agree with it but it doesn't address the statement I made which is that my vote is really valuable. You seem to disgree with that statement. A lot of people are spending a lot of money pursuing it
  16. Sorry MAGALOLIC1, I'll change my username to Josh Hawley so you can believe facts that I post
  17. I don't think I'm following, I agree that the electoral college does effectively disenfranchise millions upon millions of people but the other thing it does is make like 7 states super important and Michigan seems to be one of them right now. I'm not sure what 100% means, that's actually not an electoral college thing, states determine how they split their electors based on election results, such as Maine and Nebraska who do not do 100%
  18. Right now in Michigan it's precisely opposite, my vote is very valuable.
  19. The guys that literally went to the Supreme Court to throw out my legally-cast vote in 2020 are now worried about me being disenfranchised.
  20. MAGA sure is delusional
  21. LOLOL Biden has no role in "approving" Harris taking the nomination besides an endorsement. Biden himself wasn't even the nominee yet. And beyond that, the not yet nominee does not have the power to approve someone else taking the nomination.
  22. Millions of people got multiple shots and this didn't happen.
  23. I love the implicit notion that apparently the Unified Reich has to sign off on the Democratic nominee.
