  1. MAGA Mike hates divorce. Still not seeing why the Dems saved this jabroni https://www.motherjones.com/politics/2023/10/speaker-mike-johnson-divorce-covenant-marriage/ POLITICS OCTOBER 26, 2023 The Most Powerful Man in the House Doesn’t Like Divorce
  2. Just finished Fargo series. That was really good, last season was really something. now we're starting the Chernobyl docuseries on Max, which also seems really good 2 eps in. Neither of us have seen the Wire either so that's next. Considering Newsroom as well.
  3. So preposterous. Google tells me Scotus annual salary is 181k (which is way too much for most of them) so that's approximately 1.66 times his annual salary he didn't pay any taxes on. as the great philosopher mel brooks taught us:
  4. Oh man I'm sorry to hear that. What field are you in?
  5. I think a lot about this too. I think in general Trump and Trumpism have been a stress test on our system and very many spots are very much dependent on the integrity of individuals. It's made me definitely change how much I value integrity in terms of who to support whereas before I was much more policy.
  6. https://www.cnn.com/2024/06/06/media/alex-jones-assets-sandy-hook/index.html Alex Jones agrees to liquidate his assets to pay Sandy Hook families, in move that would end his ownership of Infowars

  8. this reminds me of when trump said he would have run in and stopped the school shooter.
  9. the times is big mad that Fauci didn't give them an interview
  10. I think after Maga Mike was saved, Moskowitz did submit legislation to name a federal penn after trump so maybe I'm wrong about letting mike get vacated, that was some good governing that would have been precluded by a speaker fight.
  11. I definitely wouldn't be aiming for a Speaker Jeffries out of not saving Maga Mike, but I do think another Unified Reich speaker **** show in congress while the Unified Reich leader is getting convicted is way better than what we have going on now. The Dems extracted a ****load from Maga Mike before they saved him. They should have let him get vacated.
  12. I also noticed they ain't got **** done since theu saved him either. The biggest news out of congress was a different hearing that turned into a roast. This "governing" excuse for saving maga mike hasn't happened. As was easily foreseeable
  13. These are the kinds of hearings that make me think the Dems made a huge mistake saving Maga Mike. That could have been yet another failed speaker vote instead.
  14. Maddow had Craig Mauger on right now. They're saying there seems to be a federal investigation ongoing about the Michigan fake electors. Apparently a police officer that was blocking the door to the Michigan Capitol from the fake electors tested he spoke with feds this past Thursday. FBI and Federal prosecutors.
  15. make impeaching hunter biden great again
  16. Definitely wouldn't read any newscorp opinion piece either. Getting accused of logical fallacy doesn't compell me to eat a poop sammich
  17. There are posters here posting literally dozens and dozens of anti Jewish and anti Israell hate videos and no one says a damn thing so that tells you what you need to know.
  18. that escalated quickly
  19. but how was the unified reich supposed to know they would be nominating a felon?
  20. I'm pretty sure I have friends who made investment decisions based on the Unified Reich narrative about the economy. I couldn't imagine missing out on record high markets b/c the Unified Reich predicted there would be a crash/recession.

  22. Thanks, I also did hear on a legal podcast that within the past hour it was consistent with state law.
  23. I'm obviously not a lawyer but just a super great message board poster, but I will say that I do think there is one thing that doesn't sit super great with me in terms of appeal. I do think it's very strange and perhaps illogical that the prosecution leveraged law that said that these could be up'd to a felony from misdemeanor if it was done in the commission of another crime. But that "another crime" didn't need to be litigated in any way? The jury didn't even need to agree on what that "another crime" would be? That part seems a little less solid to me than one would have hoped.
