  1. Along the same lines, I think too much emphasis on age. Yea he's 27. I recall comments nationally about Tim Patrick's 2y of injuries being framed as he's fresher than his career might indicate. All perspective. Also, can't imagine he'd get much in return. Not worth a trade by himself. If you package him to move up for a player, maybe, but obviously the would they would have a replacement in mind that we don't know.
  2. I bet the R Tackle will be there at 28 🙃. That reminded me of the time Jadaveon Clowney blew through the M offensive line. Guy made lots of money with that play.
  3. New name to me, but coming from TB I am encouraged and glad they are not 'wasting' any time. Move on and move on NOW.
  4. The game was really a disaster period. The landslide started when up 7-3 and driving to maybe make it 14-3, St. Brown slipped/tripped and Goff fumbles. The trip does not happen and it's a whole different game. Maybe we still lose, but at that point, Wash scored again and we fell behind. The pressure was so much greater, to keep scoring, for him AND Johnson. I think both pressed, too hard.
  5. Wash did to us what we did to others. Made us one dimensional. The D couldn’t control the game and we played from behind. Bad game, disappointing as hell.
  6. Wash running “no huddle” but subbing in players so ref has to give Lions some time to respond, minimizing the impact. Seen two instances of Lions still huddling up while Wash is ready to go.
  7. Gibbs, 4 touches, 2 first downs and a touchdown! Add: and a 9yd run 💪🏻
  8. I am so sold on this team! I see national score predictions, high majority, being within a TD, like 31-27… Like we’ve seen in other games, I can see a score that’s closer than the actual play late, then the Lions pull away. All that and I won’t predict a score. I just don’t think it’ll be as close as many seem to think. Lions cover easily, last I saw is 9.5!
  9. We have been so successful when we can get a lead and the run D can forces teams to become one dimensional and lean hard on the pass game.
  10. My big hope is that not too many fans sell off tickets for profit. Don't want to see Washington well represented @ Ford Field.
  11. Charger Texan game just wild, since I tuned in.
  12. Russell Wilson is the kryptonite to any faith I have in Pitt. He is junk. In spite of that, if the D can respond, maybe they get past Balt., but not likely in my thinking.
  13. With all this Johnson and Glenn talk, possibly taking coaches with them my brain sparked this; "I wonder if and when, years from now, people start talking about the Dan Campbell coaching tree". Still real early, do you think this will happen?
  14. One thing I seem to notice at least once a game is a big play from Paschal. He's not an edge rusher so the moving him to cover for Hutch when the break occurred was 'meh. Not an all-pro, not McNeil, yet he does make plays.
  15. And...the next guy will think he can turn it around.
  16. I think most accept a moment from 0 to flag. What makes it hard is the inconsistency, which I get is kind of married to 'gray area'. I saw about 3 that were not called and appeared obvious, I called it from my LR with 'time to spare' then 1 they whistled immediately at the zero as if the ref only watched the play clock. I actually think MN snapped the ball. That's the gripe. And of course, we only gripe from a defense perspective. 😉
  17. Seems they got used to being beneficiaries of PI calls. Saw that stat where they have received 2nd most (I think) yards due to PI calls. ANY physical play then, as our DB's did, deserves the call in their minds. Calls not made...whine...
  18. And it demonstrated the rather large drop off from him to Nowaske.
  19. Campbell started building this 4y ago, getting comfortable with the idea of 4 downs, not 3. Teams are now trying to emulate him, but their mindset is not the same. He has said repeatedly, "we are built for this". Same with 'trick plays'. I am convinced. They have go-to plays and if they miss, it does not infect them. They stay the course. Winning creates so much motivation to keep that faith in him and the riskiness some call recklessness. O'Connell failed yesterday wrongly trying to match Campbell. His team is not built for it. Go Lions! EDIT ADD: And we have a great offense that makes 4th down tries less risky for us. He plays these odds.
