  1. Ad team: Okay, lets ignore the 178 minutes of extremely boring stuff and just feature the one thing that happens maybe once or twice in three hours and then soccer will finally become the sport of the future just like we've been saying for forty years!!
  2. A haircut so great that Jerry Cosyn emulated it for decades after.
  3. Sometimes it's not about the quality of the instruments or the talent level of the musicians. Sometimes its all about attitude and these dudes have it in spades.
  4. I really liked that, thanks!
  5. Immaculate Grid 102 5/9: Rarity: 641 ⬜️🟩🟩 ⬜️🟩🟩 ⬜️⬜️🟩 Play at: https://immaculategrid.com @immaculategrid x @baseball_ref
  6. Not a pet peeve. I'm just extremely disappointed that a woman, who held another human being by the neck while her friend stabbed her and then proceeded to stab the victim an additional 14 times herself, was released from prison yesterday. "The more I stabbed the better it felt". She giggled at the gruesome details during her trial. Now she's out of prison.
  7. So we visited Mammoth Cave last week and we really enjoyed it. We did the two-hour tour because the others were sold out. We'll plan ahead and do the four-hour tour next time. Highly recommended. I would avoid Onyx Cave (same area) because it's just so redneck and our tour guide was a clueless dipwad. YMMV. We tried to tour Diamond but the wait was too long. Next time for sure.
  8. The dating episode really got me cheesed off (well, at least as cheesed off as a tv show could make me!) because those two were obviously perfect for each other. I would imagine that that was the intention of the writer(s). Well, it worked. The social status one is modern social media on steroids and it was really well done. I also enjoyed the Child Tracker episode because the antagonist kept leading her down so many wrong paths and the disdain I felt for him was calculable. Jodie Foster directed that episode.
  9. Every episode is different. There is an occasional reference to a previous episode but they are easter eggs more than anything. The one common thread is technology.
  10. I had watched the first episode of Black Mirror and after seeing the pig thing, I was out. The mention here recently (well recently for me as I've been out of the loop for almost a month) got me intrigued. I've really liked the series. Season four kind of dragged but the finale (the museum) was good. Just started season five and have enjoyed it immensely.
  11. Thank you! I'll read it over when I have time. That said, I'm cynical because the exact same CDC said in March 2021 that "vaccinated people don't carry the virus and don't get sick".
  12. Where is the data to back this up? I can take you at your word but I prefer "trust but verify". FTR, I am not trying to be difficult here or tell you that you're all wrong (yet!). I am genuinely curious because there are a lot of things that still get talked about here that are simply not true. But we can deal with those at a later date because the water would start to get muddy. Let's stick with the argument that the vaccine lessened the effects of Covid.
  13. Send me the best one. If it passes the smell test and I'm wrong, I'll admit it. Believe it or not, there is someone who occasionally participates in the political forum who can let go of pride and admit when they're wrong 😉 For the record, I'm not strictly on either side of the "vaccinated" fence, I just know bullying when I see it. Bullying is the business of political discussions around here and, brother, business is a boomin'.
  14. How do you know this? How can that be determined? Spoiler alert: it can't right now. Cases and symptoms varied so wildly amongst people long before the vaccinations hit that there is absolutely no way, at present, to assuredly say that the vaccination reduces symptoms and effects.
  15. The four-page report by the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) said the U.S. intelligence community still could not rule out the possibility that the virus came from a laboratory I'm reading between the lines, I would say this is a case of "it's not what you know, its what you can prove". The Chinese government is never known for blocking information etc for the purpose of saving face.
  16. So let me get this straight, Covid will get the vast majority people regardless of vaccination status, but yet some unvaccinated people are complaining about long covid, which the vast majority of people would get regardless of the vaccination status, and this is a jumping point to sneer at people who disagree with you? Do I have that right?
  17. I read that in Adam Carolla's voice and it was awesome.
  18. Overheard a conversation. Person one was reading about how the latest and greatest energy drink promoted energy, alertness etc etc. Person two said it sounds like a bout of screaming diarrhea later.
  19. Funny enough, when I saw that, I got a little excited and thought that I might be back on board!
  20. I shouldn't laugh because I just started playing beach volleyball again and there are people in their mid-late 60's that have a much easier time that I do.
  21. My aunt shows up two hours before an event begins. Hope you enjoy watching us clean and organize!
  22. The comment section. That's all.
