So now I'm down a rabbit hole on these guys. I love one of the comments: "I never knew that I needed a bass solo in the middle of Little Wing". This is an absolutely brilliant version.

Added a little funk and a stylized vocal....very well done. ETA: I like how the guitarist didn't try to imitate Gilmore. He just went for it in his own style and played with a lot of emotion and grit.

I'm sorry but this is the most homer thing that ever homered.

It's easy to fat finger stuff and double click. He is going to learn a valuable lesson to be more careful with public sharing.

Of course, like many our age, I displace more water than I used to. In preparation of the challenge, I have been doing them on my knees. I've grown wise enough to know that I don't have to impress anyone and will know when it is the right time to transition to doing them on my toes. As a barrel-chested fire hydrant, pushups are the one thing that I've always been able to do a lot of and had stopped doing them because I fell victim to laziness combined with busyness. Having said that, it's sage advice and I appreciate it.

I was actually referring to the voices. I like guitar twang.

My issue is usually the twang. I don't know how to describe it but a lot of it just sounds fake. I can't even put my finger on it but some twang doesn't bother me but there is so much out there that raises the hair on my neck. Dwight seems to have a bit of blues mixed in with the stuff I heard and that appeals to me.

I ran across a Slingblade video which led me down a Doyle Hargraves rabbit hole. He has some pretty cool stuff for people like me that don't care for country music in general.

IIRC, Pudge didn't really have many options when he signed because something didn't smell right. I might be mistaken.

On a recommendation we started Yellowstone. This first episode is just dragging. Anyone else have any encouragement to keep going?

I was yesterday years old when I learned that SRV's Strat was owned by Christopher Cross (yes, of yacht rock fame) before Stevie owned it. This fun fact reminded me that Cross is actually an extremely talented guitarist.

I'm 56 years old. I consider myself of reasonable intelligence, am professionally employed and would be considered by many to be well spoken. Still, these are the things that make me laugh:

The nice thing about Ashley was they gave me free white glove set up because I'm a veteran. So I got that going for me.

We bought furniture from Ashley recently and they kept us up to date on schedules etc via e-mail and text every few weeks. It is a very well run business from my experience. We even received the furniture ahead of their projected date.

Side note: I predict Ozzy will meet his maker within 6 months of this date.
