  1. I love how the color commentator is complaining about the call and the umpiring but at the end concedes that Harold was out.
  2. This is one of those indelible images in my mind.
  3. Perhaps they are using sarcasm? "So I have to prep for a colonoscopy. So that will be fun!"
  4. We have a really good marching band here and the schedule is grueling. I am so glad my kids didn't want to participate. Best marching band I ever saw/heard was in a little town called White Pigeon in the early 80's. Phenomenal band due to very dedicated instructors.
  5. Mark, I am really happy for you and Lucy!
  6. You're a pretty good guy.....for a moron.
  7. When this community began in 1999, those were some lean years so the people that were here were the diehards. It was a really close knit community of friends and there are still a number of us who are still around. We've lost some good ones along the way but we've also gotten rid of some unsavory characters. You know you're an old timer if "Snow White and the Seven Dwarves" brings back some memories.
  8. I'm glad you're sticking with it. It's a long road but eventually you hit that "ah ha" moment. Then you'll have many more long roads that become easier to navigate as you go along and the "ah ha" moments will be more satisfying. I'm on the precipice of an "ah ha" moment....(I can feel it) and I've been playing since 1979.
  9. The Life of Bert. It would be an interesting novel. Heck, it could be written "fictitiously" as if you were a character and I think people who enjoy the literary arts would enjoy it; That's how good your written thoughts are.
  10. That era was a great time to go to games because you could sit pretty much wherever you wanted. I remember being third row behind home plate when they played the Expos and marveling at what a beast Vlad was. The ushers gave me some grief for sitting there but when I told them that if the seat owners showed up, we'd gladly move. They didn't and we enjoyed the whole game from those seats.
  11. That is fantastic. To be honest, I like Pearl Jam and this is spot on of how I imitate Eddie Vedder.
  12. Based on your post, I think you'll enjoy it.
  13. A little of both (I have a dark/twisted humor so maybe average Joe would not be as amused) but mostly supposed to be funny with some of the "weapons" that get used, some of the situations that develop and the cameo with Magic Mike is righteous. There is also a scene not long into the credits that caused my wife and I to laugh pretty hard.
  14. Other than the extreme violence, it’s nothing like John Wick. It captures essences of Wick, Fight Club, Deadpool and Kill Bill. Some parts are so over the top that it’s hilarious.
  15. Saw Bullet Train today. It had everything I love about Tarantino, John Wick, Deadpool and Fight Club. Such a fun and twisted movie. Has two of the actors from Atlanta in it too. Rotten Tomatoes critics have it at 58 but the fan reviews are way higher. Trust the audience.
  16. If I am reading that correctly, the Royals and Cubs have the highest amount of their top drafts still on the roster?
  17. This woman has the amazing ability to enrage these phone scammers. It's fun and she's doing great work. https://www.youtube.com/c/RinoaPoison
  18. Its a testament to how beat up Gibby was at that time when Lasorda could beat him in a foot race.
