  1. That’s a beaut!
  2. That really sucks. Great drummer and seemed like a great guy.
  3. Stones Get Your YaYas Out is the only release I regularly visit from them. So raw and bluesy. Mick Taylor brought the best out in the Keef IMO.
  4. I despise this game. It is a hideous beast and yet I cannot look away. Daily Survivle 19: 5 rounds ⬛⬛⬛🟨⬛ 🟩🟨⬛⬛⬛ 🟩⬛⬛🟨⬛ 🟩🟩🟩🟩⬛ 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩 https://lazyguyy.github.io/survivle/
  5. My wife likes the regular ones better too.
  6. You just need a guy. I don't do many of my own mods...maybe the pegs but anything else is done through a local guy who has forgotten more about guitars than I'll ever know. I'll usually buy the harness, pickups etc and let him do what he does. Had him do a refret and it's absolutely beautiful. He doesn't judge or offer opinions unless I ask (antithesis of a cork sniffer). If you know what you like but don't trust yourself with a soldering iron, then find a guy like that!
  7. I don't think there is much a difference in the feel IMO but I really don't pay attention. As an aesthetic guy, I like the darker wood. As to your local guitar guru, sounds like he's a cork sniffer. I buy guitars to play and, if I grow tired of them, I know I can sell them at a profit but that's not why I own them. In fact, the more beat up the better IMO.
  8. This product will darken your brown fretboards. I used it on the black les paul on the right above and it looks very ebonyish unless you're 6 inches away and then you can see some of the brown of the rosewood. The longer you leave it on, the darker it gets so I'm going to leave it on for 30 minutes at the next string change. https://www.montysguitars.com/products/montys-montypresso-relic-wax
  9. Word. The newer pao ferro and other fretboard materials are too brown and just look cheap IMO. Ebony with MOP inlays is stunning.
  10. Does anyone ever beat this? Daily Survivle 18: 6 rounds ⬛⬛⬛⬛⬛ ⬛⬛⬛⬛⬛ ⬛⬛🟩⬛🟩 ⬛⬛🟩⬛🟩 🟩🟩🟩⬛🟩 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩 https://lazyguyy.github.io/survivle/
  11. The high end customs do (the one in the middle). The others from the 70s and 80s (the other two black ones) have Brazilian Rosewood.

  14. Two artists that, if I never heard them again, I wouldn't miss them: Bob Dylan and The Doors
  15. Well apparently I am winning my marriage by a landslide.
  16. As long as you make it to the fourth round, you win, correct? Because I received a message the read "you almost beat survivle" after I went to the fifth round.
  17. I hate survivle. And yet I want....no, I NEED to beat it. Daily Survivle 13: 5 rounds 🟨🟨⬛⬛⬛ ⬛🟨🟨⬛🟨 ⬛⬛🟨🟨🟨 🟩🟩🟩🟩⬛ 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩 https://lazyguyy.github.io/survivle/

  19. I think it's more of an elementary thing as a lot of them in my area are very close to the neighborhoods. By Junior High, there are very few kids walking to school.
  20. I tried playing that on my phone. Nope. That looks like a PC/tablet game.
  21. Well this is different. Wordle 270 2/6 🟨🟨🟨🟨🟨 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩
  22. I'm sorry....who asked you?!
  23. NGD - second from the left. 1976 Greco EG1000 (highest end MIJ guitar that year)
  24. I don't know about the Detroit area but I think it ended up being around 3-4k for a 2800 sq ft ranch. My house is brick so it had to be done from the inside. They drilled two holes between every stud (one at about 6 ft and one about 3 ft), filled it with insulation and then put the plug they created with a hole saw back in. They used a lot of plastic sheeting around the house to limit dust and had a cleaning person follow them in to clean any messes they made. If you have siding, they can do it from the outside and will probably be less than if they have to do it from the inside. We noticed a huge difference right away in terms of comfort and a noticeable reduction of noise from the outside.
