I'm expecting a solid win by the Lions today. I simply don't think Washington has the defensive talent, especially in their back 7 and secondary, to stop what our offensive is going to throw at them. Ben Johnson is going to be firing on all cylinders and utilizing all sorts of motion, deception, trickery, and play action out of his playbook. I don't think this will be a Minnesota like blowout, but I do think we get an early lead and stay consistent throughout and win. LET'S ****ING GO LIONS!!!!!!!!!!!

This might be their biggest and best win all season. To beat a team like Florida 5-2 is impressive.

Cossa was selected just outside the top 10 at #15. So it's not like I'm asking for a 2nd round or later pick to come up and play ASAP.

So was Kenny and it became a detriment to this team and the players development. Gustav Nyquist was 24 years old and Kenny had him in Grand Rapids to start the 2012-2013 season. Tomas Tatar was 23 and Kenny had him starting that season sitting in the press box. This was all so Kenny could play the likes of Dan Clearly, Mikael Samuelsson, and Todd Bertuzzi. I guess my concern is that Yzerman would rather play Lyon, Talbot, and possibly Husso and not give Cossa the NHL game time he needs for his development. I'll continue to be as patient and positive as I possibly can be.

If Cossa isn't on the main roster next year then I guess I'll start to worry more. He's still only 22 as of now and won't hit 23 until next season, so I suppose I'm fine with him getting more seasoning in Grand Rapids. I just don't want this turning into another Ken Holland situation where we keep playing useless veterans players (Husso) over him because our GM prefers playing vets and trying to win now versus letting a young player make his mistake but grow from them.

Did Dementia Ron even remember his second inauguration or was the dementia only prevalent when doing something illegal like Iran Contra?

Unless they truly believe he simply can't handle doing so, what's the argument against playing him 3-5 times a month at this point in his career?

I remember thinking when Martha finally canned Martin Mayhew and Tom Lewand, but then promoted Rod Wood to Team President, that Sheldon White was going to be the next Lions GM. That Martha would do exactly what her husband did when he canned Millen and promote next man up on the list in White. Not that hiring Bob Quinn worked out any better it didn't. But I thought when they interviewed Sheldon White after Mayhew was let go that he was just going to get the job.

Yzerman is turning into Kenny Holland in that regard, leaving players in the minors for far too long. Cossa should be up here and Husso should be LTIR'ed and outta here.

Do we know if Payne will be playing for Washington? He hurt his finger or hand in the Tampa Bay game. Not having him play seems like a big boost for our running game. I would assume he's going to be back playing.
