Or could have said "she never thinks before asking a question" like he did to ABC News reporter Cecilia Vega. But yeah, Donald Trump saying that Megyn Kelly was so angry she was bleeding out of her eyes and her vaginal area is a pretty despicable thing to say to a woman.

When he approaches 1/100th of the derogatory remarks Trump made towards the press then we can start talking. When he talks about changing libel laws, suing the press, and jailing members of the press, we can start talking. When he mocks a reporter with a disability we can start talking. Until then, take your false equivalences, pack them neatly in your satchel, and head on down the road.

BTW, unlike Trump, Biden actually personally called Peter Doocy and apologized to him for the remark. An apology is something not in Trump's lexicon.

While I love the potential of what Willis could become, I am terrified of what he will actually be. Sure, he could be our Josh Allen or Deshaun Watson. He could be that mobile QB with a big arm, who can make all the throws, and extend plays with his mobility. But if history is any judge, given the number of QBs who have the raw talent and don't ever turn it into anything great, it's more likely he'll be a bust. He'll become our Daunte Culpepper at best and Tavaris Jackson, Jason Campbell or Andre Ware at worst. Every scouting report I read and every highlight video I watch showcases the two major problems in Willis' game, accuracy issues and decision making. Looking at this stats, his QBR and completion % went down from his 3rd to 4th year. He had a higher passer rating and completion % than Allen did at Wyoming, but their offenses and situations were different. Again, going back to the Allen comparison, for every Josh Allen who turns it around, there are dozens who never develop into anything special. If I am the Lions and have the chance to draft one of Bryce Young or CJ Stroud next season, I'm passing on a QB this year and that includes Willis, enticing as it may be.

At least former Republican Michigan Attorney General Mike Cox, married to former Republican State Rep and MIGOP Chairwoman Laura Cox, has the gumption to call out the BS in his Republican Party. Good job Republican Mike Cox.

Stafford watch (A place for Stafford discussion)
Mr.TaterSalad replied to RedRamage's topic in Detroit Lions
Congratulations to Matt Stafford to proving ever doubter in Detroit wrong. Me, Jeff Riger, Mike Valenti, Pat Caputo, and every fan and sports media blowhard who said you couldn't get a team over the hump. I always thought Stafford's production in crunch time combined with his salary cap hit would have held a team back from advancing in the playoffs. I was wrong and Matt Stafford got the job done, in exciting fashion to close out the game no less. I wanted the high draft pick to start the playoffs, but now that the Rams are where they are, I hope Stafford gets his chance to play in a Super Bowl for once. Go get em Stafford and win the big game! -

Matt Millen called Johnny Morton a fa**ot, that sounds like someone who created a toxic work culture to me. -

Over the next decade how many Super Bowls will Patrick Mahomes appear in and how many will he win? Assuming his body holds up I'll say he'll appear in at least 5-6 and will 3-4 of them. -

Has a team ever made a Super Bowl with a QB and then ditched them the very next season? Asking for Jimmy G. Also asking to see if Trey Lance is available on the trade market. -

2021 NFL Playoff Predictions..........

The Bengals are going to the AFC Championship Game. Mike Brown was one of the worst owners in the NFL. So The Bungles winning two playoff games and going to the AFC Title Game should offer the Ford's and Lions some hope. -
He would do anything for love, but won't get vaxxed. It's sad that these completely preventable deaths are not being prevented because of misinformation and lies being spread on the internet.

I would presume Barr knew about this memo being drafted then. I would at least want the committee to look into what Barr knew and when prior to and up to the day he resigned.
-
Does the memo that Politco obtained today occur before or after Bill Barr announced his resignation from the Justice Department? I am guessing Barr had no part in this and resigned over it in protest, which should trouble everyone that even Barr thought it was a step too far. I think Barr should be subpoenaed to testify before the Jan 6th Committee over this.

It was also the game where the offense didn't score a single TD after the 1st quarter. -

I wasn't always a Stafford hater, just as I wasn't always a Ken Holland nor Jim Harbaugh hater. For the overly critical and negative fans like me, there is always a turning point with players and coaches. For me with Stafford it was the 2014 season and his inability to close the deal in Lambeau against Green Bay and then again in the Dallas game in the playoffs. Of course my dislike of Stafford went off a cliff over the next few seasons, but 2014 was the year it started for me. If the old boards were still around, none of my posts prior to 14 about Stafford were really that critical or harsh but I went off the cliff after they laid an egg against Dallas. Oddly enough, 14 is also the year I turned on Kenny Holland after he brought back Dan Clearly for the seemingly 100th time. I was wrong about Stafford's inability to win a playoff game and get his team over the hump. I was wrong about Harbaugh too this season. But I still feel vindicated about Kenny, so I'll take 1 out of 2. -
I'm stereotyping the Christian Right? So you're saying the Christian Right isn't against a woman's right to choose, marriage equality, LGBTQ rights, parental and adoption rights for LGBTQ individuals, etc.? Separate but equal, segregation, Jim Crow, anti-Semitic laws, were promoted in the south up until the 1960's and Civil Rights came along. More recently same sex marriage bans and Muslim travel bans were promoted. Who was it promoting these laws most vocally? Politicians who considered themselves evangelicals and their followers on the right. There are multiple studies that prove secular societies are more tolerant and that cultural changes proceed gains and improvements in wealth, education and democracy. Study #1: Cross-National Correlations of Quantifiable Societal Health with Popular Religiosity and Secularism in the Prosperous Democracies Study #2: Secularism and tolerance of minority groups predicts future prosperity of countries

Here's the difference between me, many on the left, and the Christian Right. I am not religious and don't try to impose my agnostic nature on others and neither do many others on the left. Sure, people on the left have tried to have the word God removed from the dollar bill and the Ten Commandments or other religious markers taken off of public buildings, and I agree with them that we should because the state should not be endorsing any religion. But we aren't trying to make Christianity or any religion our national religion, we aren't trying to strip away a woman's right to choose, we aren't calling gay marriage an abomination and trying to block marriage equality, we aren't against adoption rights for gay/lesbian couples, we aren't refusing to bake cakes for wedding ceremonies involving LGBTQ individuals, etc. While we are pushing for equity on the left, we aren't trying to legislate morality in near the same way the Christian Right is. Removing the Ten Commandments from a public government space isn't even comparable to telling a gay couple they are an abomination and cannot marry whom them love (not saying you think it is either). Furthermore, while there will never be conclusive evidence as to what Jesus looked like, there are historians and scholars who believe he quite possibly could have been a brown-skinned Jew given the region he was born in. It is probable that his biological parents were darker in complexion given they were from Nazareth and what people living in that region looked like at the time. It's highly unlikely that Jesus was the pasty white Barry Gibb look-a-like you see hanging on the cross at Church. And if we did get definitive evidence that he was brown skinned or that he looked like a sandy haired, blue eyed Swede, I wouldn't care one way or the other and neither would most people on the left. I'll tell you who would care a lot more than me or anyone on the left, the Christian Right. Why, because they've staked their claim on Jesus, who he was, and what he looked like. They've staked their claim on white grievance, ethnocentrism, and casting judgement on others who aren't like them. That doesn't sound like deep love to me, that sounds more like living in a world of fools.

I agree that legal challenges would have (probably) prevented the seizure of voting machines from happening in the manner proposed. But the mere fact that it was being proposed and the reasoning behind it are really, truly terrifying. Every day he remained in power after the 2020 election concluded it felt like another day we inched or jumped closer to being like Belarus or Hungary.
-
Another reason, among many others, why we are being rated as a backsliding democracy. Even if the specific report I cited doesn't reference the Antrim County situation, it's certainly feels like another box checked on the backslide down the democratic scale.
-
For those that were appointed or elected that were the good actors, like the Antrim County Clerk Sheryl Guy in this case, it's likely they will go after them in the next election or when they are up for a reappointment. You'll never see another VP like Pence nominated to run with Trump again. I would be shocked that the VP vetting process for Trump in 2024 doesn't include questions about the 2020 elections results and overturning/tampering with future elections. We're a backsliding democracy thanks to the MAGA movement according to at least one report I read out of a European think tank.
-
That's a terrifying amount of power for the President to think he has an and even more terrifying act for him to attempt to do. There was no evidence of wrong doing in Antrim County, MI and when they did a hand recount of all the ballots Trump picked up 12 votes out of 15,692 total votes tabulated.
