As I read the tea leaves, I would not expect much in the way of free agent signings unless the season ticket sales are through the roof by December 31.
The 50 million dollar Bally infusion looks to be gone, and it's very unclear what a replacement will provide.
The attendence to the Tigers games was 750,000 below the median, which is probably equates to a minimum of 80 million dollars of gross revenue. The net starting point for revenue for the Tigers is roughly 130 million dollars below an median MLB team.
With a strong post season performance, I would expect that some of the 130 million would be made up.
My guess is that spending will be an RP, a low tier SP, and a reclamation project.
If season ticket sales for 2025 boom between now and the end of the year, things might change.
