TACO for sure, but pvssy is more apt.

the side that controls the military will win

we don't know what Harris is thinking; but keeping Skubal and Mize, and losing them after making a QO, sets the Tigers up for maybe 6 of the top 40 picks in the 2027 draft. that means we are looking at another shiny plaque from Baseball America for having the best farm system in 2029.

they did; they went 7 games; just ran out of offense

what a god awful team -
nothing screams "America First" like the orange pedo turd investing $300,000,000,000.00 of US government funds in Iran and not Appalachia. MAGA gets ****** right up the *** again, and they love it

hard to celebrate democracy when the party in control of the White House, the Senate, the House and the SC is gleefully destroying the country.

Every team will need some size to slow down Wemby

it wasn't just a handful. it was a lot of games.

they had to do something. the regular season is losing its legitimacy. over the last 2 seasons, the Jazz routinely sat healthy players in order to lose. the little fines they got did not stop that. no idea if this will work. but forcing people to NOT finish in the bottom 3 will at least make a marginal difference as teams will try to win at least a few more games to gain better odds. this is step 1 or version 1 of this plan.

the MAGA brand is toxic to 99% of the world and 80% of the USA, but somehow we cannot get rid of the orange pedo turd

they play in a weak ass division, in a weak ass league, and were looking at a weak ass part of the schedule. it wasn't hopeless. if they could have played 450 ball, they could have stayed in striking distance. and when the injured guys came back they could have made a move. but no one stepped up with one of those outlier seasons you get occasionally. if they have stopped trying, then Hinch probably needs to go -

I think Hinch is one of the best managers in baseball and I would not argue if you said he was the best, and I don't think firing him changes the course of this lost season, and I do not think they find a better manager if they let him go but the results absolutely suck, and more importantly, they are not putting up much of a fight, and they not playing particularly well in any phase of the game - that's on Hinch I don't know what happened, but the team seems lost -

same. i'll believe when i see it. probably the most revealing race in 2026 is this one. will Hispanics, who were moving to Trump/MAGA to small but real numbers, return to the Dems? if so can the Dems get them in 2028?

OKC trades a 2026 1st round pick and 3 2ndR picks for Jared McCain; he ends up starting for them in G6, scoring 20 points; Presti is the devil

thinking back to this quote which terrified me when i read it in December. Detroit has not, however, made any major moves to improve its performance at the plate after an uneven season offensively. The Tigers finished one game behind AL Central champion Cleveland, defeated the Guardians in a three-game series and lost to Seattle in a division series. Harris said the team is counting on returning players to develop during the offseason. "Just because a lot of the names are the same, doesn't mean the team is the same," Harris said. https://www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/47337394/aj-hinch-call-kenley-jansen-closes-tigers-gm-says Marginal players, like Vierling, McKinstry, Perez and Jones already had their best seasons. Once Tork collapsed and the injuries piled up, they were f*****. -
I'm sure there is a way to confirm or not, but I assume that they are the team with the most or almost the most guys on the IL in the majors. and it seems to be both pitchers and position players. further assuming that in terms of starters they are near the top of the list. also assuming they are near the top with the most Minor league guys on the IL. not sure how you compete with 4 ML bats to call on each night.

this is a huge part of MAGA's success. "flood the zone with sh|t" and normal people get overwhelmed. Trump's corruption is boundless and MAGA just loves every bit of it. 1/3 of the country either does not care or does not understand or does not know what he is doing.

switch out Holland for Castle and this team is still playing. Getting jack squat from the 5th pick in 2022 and 2024 drafts just kills me

this is from The Athletic's mock draft, #17 pick by OKC, M Johnson of UM: "But Johnson is undersized for his role despite his strength and doesn’t have a ton of offensive versatility. Essentially, he’s a play finisher around the interior. That skill set is reminiscent of Isaiah Stewart, and Stewart has turned into a very valuable player for the Pistons. Oklahoma City has been linked to Stewart before, and even though the Thunder took Thomas Sorber last season, they’re loaded everywhere and can afford to take another big." going to be interesting to see if TL can pull off multiple moves this summer
