  1. partial SJ motion granted against Fox
  2. Malloy at 3b; let's see how that works. starting 3 (oops just 2) guys 30+ years-old seems suboptimal
  3. for the GOP? great for America? not so good
  4. hard to see Josh McDaniels giving Carter the direction he needs.
  5. 8 of Avila's guys + Vierling = winner
  6. I rarely see OL listed as a need, but to me the need is high. The back up OT is the starting RG, who missed last season with a back injury, and is in the last year of his deal, just like the starting LG and their main back up, who also back ups an oft injured C. I have seen a few mocks with Skoronski available at 18 - but I doubt he will be.
  7. it is utter BS, I know, but at a minimum asking Detroit to pick up some of the infrastructure changes is a pretty standard ask
  8. little of both I would assume
  9. the area immediately North of Ford Field is just about 40 acres. not sure which teams have facilities that close to their stadium.
  10. I'm sure these meetings are important, but this meeting is really important - more important for the Lions than Carter. Holmes and Campbell have the franchise pointed in the right direction. I'll trust what ever call they (and Glenn) make on Carter.
  11. good; would have been really annoying to have a 32-year old eating up at bats Schoop won't last to June McKinstry has a solid AAA track record of what Harris claims he wants from batters, and the LAD contingent knows him
  12. decent mock here, expect for one pick https://www.pff.com/news/draft-2023-nfl-mock-draft-three-qbs-first-three-picks-colts-christian-gonzalez 3. DETROIT LIONS (VIA ARI): QB ANTHONY RICHARDSON, FLORIDA Trade: Detroit sends Nos. 6, 48, 81, 2024 1st, 2024 4th; Arizona sends No. 3
  13. the amount of deliberate disinformation is hard to quantify as well; 6 seems likely to be the first inflection point in the draft, if Anderson, Carter and the 3 top QBs are gone
  14. this CBS one makes sense to me: 16 Q Johnston, dropping from 6 to 16, picking up a 3rd (#97) from Washington and their 1st next year 18 B Robinson
  15. where does Carter ever makes sense? if he is there at 18, would Holmes pass again?
  16. this is Fox Sports mock draft/trade; 11 and 41 to Det for 6 and 152; that seems light for Det 6. TRADE: Tennessee Titans (from Detroit): Will Levis, QB, Kentucky It's hard to imagine Ryan Tannehill returning after this season as the Titans rebrand. They're close enough to move up and get their next quarterback in Levis. Tennessee has moved on from a ton of veterans this offseason, so the Titans package their top two picks (11 and 41) to get the No. 6 pick and a fifth-round pick back. Detroit now has four picks in the top 55, and Tennessee has a quarterback it can transition to over the next year.
  17. today's Athletic mock: 6 Wilson (DE); 18 Banks (CB); and 27 Washington (TE). Guy is a unicorn but that is a lot to pay. Pass. Lions trade No. 48, 55, 183 and 194 to the Bills for 27 and 137 Surprise, surprise. Folks in Detroit might still be scarred by first-round tight ends, but I’m not.
  18. I doubt Holmes does not move both up and down, but no trades could work as well
  19. yes; they absolutely deserve the benefit of the doubt, no matter which way they fall on Carter
  20. Holmes stayed put in 21 and 22 and the guys he wanted were still available and 7 and 2. Maybe that is just luck. But it is not impossible to believe that Anderson will be there at 6. If not, would be nice to trade down because the talent pool seems to be deep and wide but without elite players outside of Anderson and Bijan (and possibly Richardson). Of course, Holmes is obviously not afraid to move up when he wants a guy.
  21. 20 year old with a bad back? JFC. Hire Al and fire him again.
  22. Mize and Skubal are already on 60 day IL, they have 42 guys total right now. Garcia and Pacheco would be next out the door IMO
