  1. subtracting Baez and Rodriguez means they are going in full reverse for 2024
  2. I saw this on Twitter and had to double check. Duren (1258) has played more NBA minutes than Wiseman (1098). That's crazy.
  3. Texas gets people to take big money because they offer big money - after finishing 4, 5, 3, 5, 5, 4 the last 6 years.
  4. I assume YES has been successful for the Yankees. Any reason that Ilitch Holdings (with 2 teams available to supply content) could not replicate that in the Michigan market, albeit on a smaller scale? That's a big undertaking I am sure, and swapping out a guaranteed payday for the risk of more money may not be appealing.
  5. They are probably going to go North with 31-year old Schoop and 33-year old Hernandez starting in the infield, and 40-year old Miggy clogging the bench - 3 guys who have no place on the 2024 team - and hoping the 30-year old Baez can turn it around and the 30-year old Haase does not turn into a pumpkin. Maybe 30-year old Andy Ibanez or 31-year old Andrew Knapp can provide some leadership and make the team as well! Thank goodness we don't have expensive free agents blocking prospects. Harris inherited a flaming train wreck, then pulled out a lawn chair, sat down, shook his head and said "this is really bad and it will get fixed in a few years"
  6. I still have not seen this view on TV, just on the interwebs. Would have shut down most of the controversy if they showed this.
  7. I did not know this https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2023/02/al-notes-mahomes-haggerty-vogt-rays.html
  8. I had to serve early detention once; worse than after school.
  9. plus almost $40M and 2 rings - nice life.
  10. Hollinger certainly knows more about the NBA than me, but Wiseman is 21 (!) and has played 3, 39, 0, and 21 games his last for years. Lots of guys never really get better, but the idea that the cake is baked at 21 always bothers me. (Grant Hill was at Duke at 21.) If you are going to have teenagers in the NBA, you have to find some patience which Det can offer.
  11. good article from GSW beat writer in The Athletic. Wiseman came into a difficult situation where championships mattered more than his development - and he did not play his one college year, then covid, then injuries, and he was forever behind. He looks like a low IQ player in Kerr's system. Lots of guys would. Let's see if that continues. Personally, I will say Wiseman at his best is better than Bey at his best, even in today's NBA. last graph: Wiseman will go to Detroit, free from the dynastic pressure he always felt with the Warriors, and maybe he will have a great NBA career. I hope he does. I think it’s possible. But the time had run out on Wiseman’s Warriors career, complete with a sigh of relief from all sides, I’m pretty sure.
  12. I am literally laughing so much my wife came to check on me. What a disaster. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
  13. could be that Weaver is using reverse karma to trick KarWilt into giving us the 1st pick: We don't need Wenbamyama. We have all the bigs we need. Don't need him. Happy to ride with Bagley.
  14. more players - keep 'em coming
  15. Weaver is going to have 8 bigs, all who can't hit the 3
  16. selling low on Bey while not selling high on BB makes no sense
  17. Bey for Wiseman feels very "we did something rather than nothing"
  18. Santana (9th last year) only made his "Others" list. Admittedly, Cristian's numbers were not that good at Lakeland, which he is set to repeat. Last year he included Eric de la Rosa, Eli Afonso and Austin Bergner in his Top 20, which is not a dig at Law, but just pointing out how difficult it is to know who will make it.
  19. What if I told you Al Avila is the one who acquired over 80% of those deck chairs? Would that help? No, I guess not.
  20. I know he will never play a second for them but I would fly to Utah to see Westbrook suit up for the Jazz.
