They changed it a couple years ago because it used to be like till the winter meetings which was stupid too long. Normally there isn't this much action this early, cause you can wait a week. But, I think some guys are jumping at deals cause of the CBA taking their signing bonus and going "at least I got that" right now.
-
You haven't talked to many yakees fans have you. They'd give up Torres for a bag of balls at this point.
-
I think some are trying to get theirs before the CBA lockdown. At least I got that. Many of the guys who signed weren't likely to get more or less by waiting.

Sorry my eyes blured the RBI. OK fine he was good the last week. So good week 1 of septmber. Meh the middle two. Good the week end. I guess in your eyes that means good all the time. I don't get why that last week outweighs the previous two, or the first week where he was crazy hot shows he never slumped at all in AAA. He did and it happened for 16 days which is about half the month. I don't think we can say he tore the cover off the ball for a month when the slump last for half of it. If you want him to start at ML in 2022, I'll be right there with you. But, if management says he needs to work on this because they have tape on every pitch and maybe he struggle with the AAA curveball in those two weeks and that's why the numbers dipped, I'm OK with that too. That is all.

I don't think so because i also see the games between sept. 7 and spet. 23 and see that 9/23 forward is basically entirely in two game.s

This is getting out of hand. I NEVER SAID HE WASN'T GOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LIterally 3 hours ago I wrote. "He never really demolished AAA pitching. It fine. I mean the fact he had a .350 OBP in AAA is a damn miracle when you considered he was drafted basically missed a 2 years and then did all that in his first professional season. It just a situation where you could make the argument you want to see a bit more in AAA before major. I don't think it matters ones way or the other, but its not some lie to say we'd like to see a bit more." I just think you can take the fact his number took an extend dip for two weeks and make the case for him to stay down. You guys make it seem like he tripple crown Miguel down there his entire time at AAA. He wasn't and there is zero wrong with that.
-
again, I said it earlier, I agree with everything you just wrote. It's very good. I'm just saying I don't think we can say he has nothing left to prove at AAA and if you want to make the argument he needs more time there, given those struggles at the end, it's a fair argument.

yes because see above. If you take out that hot first week of september his OPS drops to .866. Still pretty good but let's admit unless that a catcher nobody considers that lighting it up or an OMG Ops. And since we're talking about cooling off. Being hot the first week and then less the rest of teh month, is the literal definition of the phrase.
-
It differs cause you only checking the month log, not the game log. Look a vast majority of it was before Sept. 7. After that? From the 8th to the 24 he had 2 muti hit games, zippo homers and more strike outs than walks. Couple good games after that and a whole lot nadda after that.
-
and that's what I thought too but I remember checking his game logs in spetember and he had a string of 0-4s and looking over the last 10 it was like sure looks like someone ran out of steam

Again its one month, at best Tork would help us win what 2 games in that month over Harold Castro. Is it that important this year over that extra year of control (given curret CBA set ups) when you consider I don't think anyone considers us "contenders." If Mize et all were at the peak and they were one more impact bat away sure. Right now, I'd rather take that extra year.
-
It was but its also part of the equation to say it was low. We can't just keep looking to Saber number, at some point you have to look at results. He didn't have the stretch at AAA he did at other levels. Not to say he struggle he just didn't light it up. SOmetimes its not always because or due to BABIP
-
He never really got it going. The other levels he started slow and then lit it up. He never really demolished AAA pitching. It fine. I mean the fact he had a .350 OBP in AAA is a damn miracle when you considered he was drafted basically missed a 2 years and then did all that in his first professional season. It just a situation where you could make the argument you want to see a bit more in AAA before major. I don't think it matters ones way or the other, but its not some lie to say we'd like to see a bit more.

It's not so much Tork over Harold. Cause everybody chooses that. It's more is it OK to play Harold for one month, when teams can usually make up for a bad player, with everybody healthy and a nother year of control for the young player. Or is wins in that month that important. And as we said even if you call up the rookie -- hardly the best player on you team - its no guarentee that you'll win that game or that your rookie won't struggle in it. I get that its never an easy decision and you can't always play the short game. To me, with us now, I'd rather just let Tork stay that extra month, get the year and punt a game or so this year when the goal is really just .500
-
Tork Did struggle a AAA
-
But again just conjucture. There is no guarentee that TEam X wins that game with Player Y. Player Y might have gone 0-4 and they would have lost by 2 instead of 1
-
and there is no good measure for "we think that part of this area roots for teams." SO you gotta go by media market median income. But, if you read my post you would note that I admitted that was stupid measure for a host of reasons, including the one you're discussing.

MLBPA would never allow it.

I would think its a bit of bird in the hand. Like E-Rod knows he has $77 million in the bank. If he holds on for the new CBA is that figure really going to change all that much? Maybe for someone a few extra, the new CBA is likely to impact guys like players with 4 year time or veteran not prime age free agents. Those guys ar ealways gonna get theirs no matter the CBA. But, now E-Rod knows he gets $77 million in the bank.
-
Like did you read my post at all? Cause its clear you didn't. Look he doesn't have to disclose anything and I can look at the ijury report. But, then when the rumors start and you do nothing to stop it its seem disingenous to whine about it then. Post it on instagram, talk to a media outlet, all of the whining could have been nipped weeks ago, but he didn't and now is mad it continued. That's BS. It's like running a business, sometimes saying nothing is OK. Sometimes you need to get ahead of the problem or stop it. Decker played it quiet which is fine. But, then you can't come out and go people are full of crap and they need to shut up when they have to fill in the gaps cause you refused.
-
I don't listen to it. Boy he could have talked to the free press, teh athletic, espn, gotten on Colin Cowherd, etc etc. There's a lot more options than "call valenti"

Detroit ranks 47...ahead of Phoenix, Tampa, Los Angeles, miami. But for comapirson sake the averge pay in Detroit is 22K in NYC, 14th on the list, its 28K. I can tell you 28K gets you homeless in NYC and 22K in detroit can at least get you something. I say this just to say measure markets by wealth is fool-hearty because big cities are gonna drive down the cost for a host of reasons. It's about TV sets and detroit ranks 14th.

oh no Verlander the closer talk again.
