    The difference in information is that there was a game postponed. They don't want to move Skubal off his rotation spot on Sunday. Very simple and straightforward, and not in any way disconcerting.

    Also, any suggestion of a contending team trading their ace for prospects is utter nonsense. They'd be more likely to trade two of their top 10 prospects for a two month rental arm to put them over the top.

    Yeah 70 grade is excessive, but he was looked at as a 25 HR guy.

    He hit for power in the minors. He was a well rounded hitter, both OBP and power, but more power than OBP.

    I had to look up the song, never seen that commercial before. The only one I ever seen is just when the guy says "play ball Michigan" but there's no awful song.

    They're not struggling on offense so much as they are just bad on offense. Outside of Witt they're a little league lineup. The pitching staff is good, but unless they get absurd injury luck with the rotation for the second year in a row they won't be contenders for the division.

    Yes putting Vierling in CF. He was the main CF after Meadows was sent down last year. It's the position he's played the most innings at in his career.

    Some combo of that and ego management for sure. Even though his numbers may warrant it, it would be easy to take batting a hitter of Carpenters quality 8th or 9th as an insult.

    They dropped Carpenter in the order because it's a LHP and it would be incredibly stupid not to drop him in the order.

    Saying he resigns with no info as to why leaves everything to speculation. Obviously there is no speculation as to whether he resigned or not.
