  1. Do you really think you've kept that opinion quiet?
  2. 10 Ks and 19 swinging strikes from Mize and still gets hit around.
  3. Not only that, Salvador Perez was hitting like an MVP and Seth Lugo was pitching like a Cy Young, both absurd outlier performances. Lugo still hasn't fully come back to earth yet either his ERA more than a run lower than his xERA. People upset and acting like the Royals have passed us lol. They have an MVP in Bobby Witt Jr who is gonna be wasted in KC.
  4. Oh I know, I was making fun of those guys I think the clarity is not that we cut him, but that we don't give him any ABs that he doesn't earn. So we can try to address 1B with no regards for Tork, and if he forces his way back into the lineup, well then we'd be sitting in a pretty good spot.
  5. Only thing I can remember was him talking about a well hit ball to RCF that was caught and he commented in AAA that's a HR. I didn't really read it as a complaint, more so just acknowledging the difference in difficulty between AAA and the majors.
  6. My post was tongue-in-cheek.
  7. I just wonder if it removes all need to keep working hard now that he's got his big pay day.
  8. But think of all the free all stars that are just sitting out there for the taking.
  9. Brewers have the second lowest first pitch swing rate and it seems to be working just fine for them.
  10. The Royals are really just having a fluke year. They have Bobby Witt and a terrible farm system. Their prospects as a team going forward is nothing to be jealous of.
  11. Well it's a $28 million contract over 6 years, so there is no downside risk. The contract will have zero impact on any decision making going forward if Keith is a total bust.
  12. Because Keiths development is important to the organization long term and Ibanez is not.
  13. It's obviously just death threats on social media.
  14. Fortunately for us we know that free agency is on the table, and our owner has proven he's willing to spend big enough to acquire quality players in FA. Now whether the players end up being quality signings will depend on Harris.
  15. I saw some photos showing that he has made some changes to his stance.
  16. And in 107 games last season Rogers hit 21 HRs with a 96 OPS+.
  17. Flaherty can get a QO, so worst case scenario is we get a comp pick for him.
  18. He says as Hinch starts him his first game against a RHP.
  19. He crushed fastballs last year with 17 HRs and a BA/SLG of .270/.497 and a wOBA of .368. And the statcast data suggests he was really unlucky with an xBA/xSLG of .296/.570 and an xwOBA of .406. He sucked against breaking and off speed pitches where he had an xwOBA of .278 and .280.
  20. I already went through this whole deal with him in April. Best to just ignore his nonsense takes.
  21. Mizes misses are just not even close.
  22. This is correct. Nothing Illitch has done to this point suggest he won't spend a reasonable amount. Will he go overboard and lose a bunch of money in a desparate attempt to win like his dad? Probably not, but the concern we won't pay out big contracts to sign players or retain our talent has no basis in reality.
  23. Is there a weather delay or they delaying the game for this dumb ceremony that is on my stream?
  24. We were always gonna have to acquire some foundation players from outside of the org, whether through trade or FA. Fortunately RHH are much more abundant.
  25. Add Carpenter in there and remove Tork.
