I have always thought that Gonzalez should be ahead of Weatherspoon. Bigger, faster, longer, and more of an ideal NFL CB imo.

Just before the Barry Sanders draft (about 2 weeks before), I was working in a fund raiser for the march of dimes. My job was to arrest certain local celebrities and put them in jail, for a radio station. I got to meet Wayne Fontes, and introduced myself (my middle name is Barry) with emphasis on my middle name. He said "Hi Barry, it's very nice to meet you!" And I knew from his reaction that the Lions were going to choose Barry Sanders.

Husso has been outstanding this year. It's been a good year for the Wings, they came up a little short. At least they got the ball rolling for next season.

Maybe the Wings can get in on Pastrnak, who'll be UFA after this year.

I was looking at their probable picks on https://www.tankathon.com/nhl, and they will probably pick 10th (now 12th). Long way to get any higher than that. I see the Islanders probably make the playoffs, but at the very least should be picking lower than 14th, where they now stand.

Yzerman is slipping. Seriously, though; they have plenty of young talent to take over. They will also have about 40 million in cap space next year. This draft looks like a deep draft. And their system is loaded.

Only got a 24 protected (Boston doesn't need to protect) first and 25 4th rounder.

Also should be giving credit to Al for Keith, Flores and Olson. All great pickups for low prices.

James Mitchell has above average abilities imo.

Talent wise a pretty good group. Not great, but young and cheap.

I don't think he runs well. He (Mayer) can catch the ball, but he doesn't separate. I think Mitchell is also talented, and might take off having a full healthy camp. The one TE that interests me this year is Washington from Georgia. He is a great blocker, like having a 3rd tackle, which the Lions use a lot.
